We live in a culture that constantly pushes us to do more, work harder, and question whether we’re ever “enough.” For many students, that pressure leads to stress, anxiety, and burnout. But thriving isn’t about pushing harder—it’s about finding balance, clarity, and a stronger sense of who you are and what you need. This work often extends into your relationships, your identity, and your sense of direction. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, explore what’s weighing on you, and develop a more grounded, sustainable way forward.

Other than helping others create change and learn to love themselves because they deserve to, I want to help others understand themselves on a deeper level. In my professional experience, I see how much clarity and knowledge about ourselves can foster our relationships within ourselves and with others. I ensure that my client feel heard and understood by providing an affirming, open minded, and empathetic approach. I find it important to actively listen to my clients and paraphrase or summarize what they had said to make sure I heard them right. I create a non-judgmental and encouraging space that allows for my clients to open up and express themselves authentically.

I support high-achieving professionals and students in Orange County and virtually across California in managing anxiety, stress, perfectionism, and burnout. Together, we’ll tackle setting boundaries, achieving work-life balance, overcoming people-pleasing tendencies, and navigating the pressure of high expectations. The goal isn't to give up optimizing your routine or lower your ambitions, but rather to find a sustainable, cohesive way to meet your demands without being run into the ground. My approach blends warmth, humor, and a nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly seen. Therapy works best when it’s based in genuine connection. A place where you don’t have to pretend to “have it all together.” I make no claims to perfection, and I won't hold you that claim either. Whether it’s workaholism, overwhelm, or simply finding balance, support is just one click away. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation today.

I was inspired to become a therapist by my own healing journey. I felt motivated to support other people to find their meaning by living a genuine life, establishing healthy boundaries, implementing adaptive coping skills and strategies, and using their strengths to live more joyful lives. I value each person’s individuality and offer a safe and non-judgmental space for growth and healing. I am passionate about helping others and meet my clients where they are. My hope is to guide my clients through the therapeutic process with compassion, focusing on their strengths and support systems.

Working in metal health for over a decade, I realized I would ask more questions about the person than I was trained to know what to do. I knew I wanted to help people more and decided to further my education to be able to do that. Clients need to feel heard and understood. I would initially ask how they would like to feel heard and understood. I would naturally reflect back on what clients have stated to ensure I heard their words correctly. I would also ask if I understood their words correctly to confirm. Working together is collaborative. Building trust looks like me asking questions to see the client’s experience and what support looks like to them. It is listening to their stories and hearing what the client would like to work on as far as goals and supporting them to do so.

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, who has worked several clinical specialties including the pediatric unit, pediatric intensive care unit, adult medical-surgical unit, telemetry unit, adult inpatient psychiatry unit, and postpartum unit as a registered nurse. I received my Master of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University in 2020. After graduation, I completed a one-year residency for the Veteran Affairs in Sacramento and worked with veterans with severe mental illnesses, substance abuse, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I have provided psychotropic medication management in a mental health clinic, inpatient mental health units and providing psychiatric consults on medical units for two years. For the past year, I have been working at Foresight Mental Health and provided medication management while treating the whole person through a holistic mindset. I became inspired to work in the field of mental health care as I worked in several specialties of nursing and I naturally gravitated toward working with patients, who have mental health concerns. I learned the importance of listening to my patients first and then advocate for my patient’s wellbeing by partnering with them to create an individualized treatment plan that focuses on improving their overall quality of life. I have learned how to implement active listening and supportive therapy to collaborate with patients to provide them with optimal mental health outcomes. Motivational interviewing skills are are utilized to identify areas of resistance toward previous treatment to offer holistic treatment options.

College is such a roller coaster. You may be feeling overwhelmed, apathetic, anxious, and always just going through the motions. Even though "everything's fine", you can't help but feel like the daily grind of "needing to be productive" could go a bit smoother. Maybe that irritation with that one roommate still lingers throughout our week. Or maybe the thoughts about that one moment during last night's date keep popping into our head as we're trying to concentrate during our morning lab. As a first generational Asian American, I can relate to the pressures of being independent and needing to keep up with school while still trying to have my own life. Schedule slots for yourself during the week to process the things we take on and carry within us. After all, they have a way of harboring and distracting our minds and bodies, clouding our judgement, taking away from our motivations, focus, and keeping us emotionally distant from those around us. If you live in NV or CA, I offer virtual telehealth sessions so that you can benefit from them right from your home or office. With flexible scheduling, my goal is to help you create habits using targeted solution focused therapy. I offer a variety of options, catered to your busy schedule. Integrate the "mental gym" into your week so that you can incorporate the benefits right away. It's better to process through it instead of holding it all in. You can be successful AND feel confident, calm, and in control. Our first session: will be a casual meeting to talk about how I can best help you. We will discuss the areas that you'd like to work on, collaborate and come up with a schedule that best suits you. Therapy can last anywhere from 3 months to a year depending on how consistent our meetings are. Client that I've worked with have experienced improvements within the first few sessions. If you're interested, reach out today to schedule a free consultation with me.

Welcome! I'm Olivea (oh-liv-ee-uh). I'm a graduate of The Wright Institute's Graduate School of Counseling Psychology, working as an associate therapist in San Ramon, CA. I love seeing my clients in-person but also offer telehealth for those who aren't local or can't make it in-person. My general approach to therapy is lower-key, compassionate (heavy on the checking the self-critic), direct and casual. I work to create a space that feels validating, accepting, and easy to walk into, even when everything feels like it's too much. I primarily work with young adults and teens navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, identity questions (gender, sexuality, race), and political stress. I also have a soft spot for anyone experiencing long-distance relationship struggles as well as fellow nerds and gamers, and anyone who feels chronically online (no judgment—same). I often see folks for individual therapy who are dealing with: - Life transitions that feel overwhelming - Difficulty finding their voices in their families or relationships - Feeling lonely or isolated - Relationship issues and attachment patterns - Boundaries and stress management - Racial stress and identity development - Gender and sexual identity exploration I believe you're the expert on your own life, and that a strong, collaborative relationship between us is what makes therapy actually work. My approach is grounded in that belief—I utilize strengths-based, person-centered frameworks, and I operate from a social justice lens. Basically: I see you as a whole person shaped by your experiences and the systems around you, and I'm here to help you figure out what you need and want, not tell you what to do. I'm currently an AMFT (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist) under the supervision of Michelle Ritenour (#51357). If you feel like we might be a good fit, please feel encouraged to contact me by phone, email, or through my website.

What inspires me to work in mental health is the possibility of supporting another person or family through a difficult phase of their life. I have experience in trauma focused care, anxiety, depression, and parenting across all ages. I hope to use this experience to assist my clients in improving their quality of life. As a provider, I come from a place of non-judgement, curiosity, and view my client as the expert of their own life. Therefore, I ask clarifying questions to make sure I understand what they are saying, validate, and respect where they are coming from. I value transparency, consistency, and authenticity and I bring that to session each time. I respect the fact that trust is valuable and I allow time for my clients to feel comfortable with me.
