Sometimes life throws us a curve-ball that we just didn't expect. Whatever the curve-ball is, either large or small, it is common to cause anxiety, even if it is something exciting. If your curve-ball is something that isn't so exciting, maybe you feel traumatized. This can happen for any situation that causes disruption to your daily routine, your thinking and ultimately your ability to function at your full potential. Whatever your anxiety or trauma is about, we can help! We are a team of therapists that work extensively with anxiety provoking issues. These could be about relationships, life events, or any negative experience that is holding you back. If you are struggling with moving past a traumatic incident, or finding it difficult to overcome anxiety of any sort, please contact us. We will have one of our experienced therapists contact you as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you!
We are a non-profit organization offering affordable and inclusive therapy services by highly trained associates and trainees to individuals, children/adolescents, couples, and families of all communities residing in California.
The most important factor in the therapy process is feeling like you can be authentic and honest with your therapist. Let’s see if we could be a good fit! I am passionate about joining clients on their journeys to increase their overall well-being. I enjoy working with college students and young adults. During these phases of life, transition is constant. Many clients I see begin therapy due to lasting effects of trauma, overwhelming feelings, difficulty adjusting to new circumstances, or disruptive behaviors that interrupt their daily lives. I view my role as to walk alongside clients, offering support, tools, and fresh perspectives as they find their own path toward healing, growth, and making peace with the impact of past experiences. I currently have openings available for new clients. Right now I am offering virtual sessions only. I am partnered with Headway who will confirm your in network status and take care of all insurance billing. Please feel free to reach out on my website or via email to schedule a free 15 min phone consultation.

Hi there, I’m Lexi. I’m really glad you’re here. Reaching out for support takes strength, especially when things feel overwhelming. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship stress, family conflict, or just feeling like you're not okay but can’t explain why, you don’t have to face it alone. I support people who are navigating big emotions, identity struggles, past wounds, or patterns that feel hard to break. This can include experiences like self-harm, low self-worth, or traits of borderline personality. My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I’m trained in evidence-based tools like CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and attachment-based therapy. More than anything, I believe in creating a space where you feel safe to be real, heard, and understood. You deserve support that meets you where you are. Together, we can work toward helping you feel more grounded, connected, and confident in yourself, even when life feels messy.

Hi there! My name is Reese Minshew, and I work almost entirely with transgender (broadly defined) adults who have had traumatic (broadly defined) experiences. I’m licensed in California, Illinois, and New York, and work via telehealth with people located in any of those states. Clinically, I believe that the reactions we have after experiencing trauma and stress are fundamentally adaptive to the trauma, but can disrupt everyday life. In other words, if you had a difficult experience (including chronic exposure to structural stressors such as anti-trans bias, white supremacy, ableism, etc), you might not be able to eat, sleep, focus, calm down, feel excited, or be in relationships in the way you want. Whatever reaction you’re having was very helpful to you at one time, but if it’s no longer serving you then we can work on that. Most of the time we would do this by talking about what’s going on in your life right now, and working to understand it in the context of your past experiences.
Do you find yourself feeling anxious, nervous, or on edge? Perhaps you have racing thoughts, trouble controlling your thoughts, or constantly thinking about the same thing. Have you feel sad, lonely, or questioning the meaning of life? You may think no one could possibly imagine the pain and hurt you’re feeling. Why did this have to happen? He or she didn’t deserve to die? I can’t believe I’ll never see them again. Perhaps you’ve experienced a Trauma. You may still feel on edge, have trouble relaxing and have painful past memories or nightmares making it hard to sleep at night. Sometimes people just don’t get it. You know you have Anger problems, but it’s not like you don’t want to change. You are trying to work on this. You just don't know how or where to start. The good news is there are coping tools and therapy strategies that can help to reduce your racing and uncontrollable thought. Just think about how it could feel to have someone that could help you throughout this process. Chanes are you want to go about your daily day without crying, feeling guilty or breaking down. You want to just enjoy your life without being interrupted by past painful memories. If you could just get to sleep, that would be a dream in itself. You want to be in control of your feelings. I can help you with these things by providing you with coping skills, a safe space to process your thoughts, explore your emotions, and address your anger. Let me show you how to continue living your life during this difficult time. I can teach you therapy strategies and techniques to help you through difficult times too. I can also teach you skills to manage your anger, identify your triggers, and to handle conflicts. Making the decision to get therapy is the first step.
