I am a queer cis-woman of color, and an immigrant from Denmark and Comoros. I am passionate about fiercely challenging systemic oppression and empowering people to reclaim their innate power. As a somatic and social justice psychotherapist, I guide and empower clients in the discovery and celebration of your authentic self. Through both my work and my own lived experience, I have developed a critical awareness of the relationship between trauma and oppression. In the therapy room, you are able to gain bodily awareness and skills on how you can move more fluidly in expressing and embodying you own unapologetic truth that is too often silenced by society I specialize working with marginalized populations, including people of color, QTPOC, bilingual individuals, immigrants, queer people, and trans and gender non-conforming individuals. As a multilingual psychotherapist, I provide counseling in English, Spanish, French and Danish. I provide both in-person and video sessions. Feeling overwhelmed, behind, anxious, unsure, or like you’re constantly juggling too much? College can bring intense pressure to perform, stay productive, and have a plan—often while managing relationships, family expectations, finances, and questions about who you’re becoming. Even when things are going well academically or socially, many students carry a quiet sense of stress, self-doubt, or disconnection that’s hard to put into words. College is often referred to as the “best years of your life,” yet it’s also a time of major transition and identity formation. You may be making important decisions about your future while still figuring out what you value, what you want, and how to trust yourself. It’s common to feel stuck, anxious, or alone during this period—especially when it seems like everyone else is more confident or has things figured out. How We’ll Work Together I pay close attention to the tension many young adults feel between the part of them seeking stability and the part longing for meaning. It’s common to feel torn between wanting security—a solid job, steady relationships, a clear plan—and wanting a life that feels authentic, purposeful, and alive. In our work, we’ll explore this inner conflict with curiosity rather than judgment and find a way forward that integrates both of these core desires. Many young adults also carry a quiet sense of “I should be further along by now,” shaped by family expectations, social comparison, and cultural pressure. Together, we’ll slow down these narratives and build a relationship to yourself that’s based on honesty, compassion, and your actual needs—not someone else’s timeline. We’ll explore patterns in your relationships, clarify your values, likes, and dislikes, and build skills that help you move through the world with more confidence and ease. Therapy becomes a place to practice new ways of relating: setting boundaries, being more authentic, understanding your emotional patterns, and building healthier relationships. We’ll look at where your values, instincts, and longings are trying to guide you, and how to make choices that align with who you’re becoming.
Life can often present us with challenges that leave us feeling not like ourselves. Many of us seek to deepen connections to feel a sense of peace, wellness, and fulfillment in our lives, but don't know where to begin. I offer a holistic approach to therapy using evidence based practices, somatic/body techniques, mindfulness/meditation, & family systems techniques within an attachment framework. If you are experiencing changes/transitions, have concerns about self-esteem and identity, or experience stress, anxiety, depression or trauma, let's work together to provide you a space to process your experiences and sense of relief. I offer telehealth, office, and nature based sessions. The outdoors can offer a place of healing and rejuvenation. My practice utilizes nature to enhance the healing impacts of traditional talk therapy. I offer a walk-and-talk model that combines the freeing element of being outdoors with psychotherapy. Movement in the outdoors gives us the ability to access our emotions and process our experiences while feeling grounded and attuned to the moment. This can be a new and inspiring experience for those who have tried traditional office-based therapy and felt they needed something different or more dynamic.

I support women of all ages and young adults who are experiencing some kind of life transition, healing from trauma, or grieving a loss. So often we feel lost trying to cope with this wild ride we call life, but you are not alone. I work from a trauma informed and nature based perspective to help you deeply connect with the person you want to be. Together we can heal the past and shift the inner criticism that may be holding you back from living fully & confidently.

Hi, My name is Heather and I have been working as an individual and family therapist for over 10 years. Through my professional experiences, I have found a love for working with younger adult clients and currently work with many undergraduate and graduate college student. I enjoy my work in helping to identify what isn't working for clients in their individual lives or in their relationships and finding alternative ways of thinking and responding that support mental wellness. My experience is is mostly in the areas of symptoms commonly experienced by those struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD. I work mainly with cognitive models of therapy and am trained in EMDR, and have experience with other theories of psychology that I interweave into my practice, depending on what clients needs are and what they respond positively to. Ultimately I think the connection between therapist and client is the most important part of the therapeutic relationship and I truly enjoy getting to know my clients on a personal level through the clinical work we engage in. I'd appreciate your consideration in your searches for a therapist to work with.
I offer relational, culturally affirming psychotherapy and supervision for individuals seeking depth, support, and authenticity. Grounded in my identity as a Black female relational psychotherapist, my work centers the impact of culture, power, and systemic context on both personal healing and clinical practice. •Group Mentorship for Emerging Practice Owners: I am opening a dedicated space to coach mid-level psychotherapists who are ready to navigate the transition into private practice, blending clinical wisdom with practical business mentorship. •Relational, Culturally Affirming Supervision/Mentorship for Therapists: Appreciating the weight we are all carrying, I am continuing to offer a reflective, iterative space specifically for fellow healers, grounded in a culturally affirming framework. My goal is to "hold the holders" and ensure the next generation of clinicians is as supported and culturally rooted as possible. •Relational, Culturally Affirming Psychotherapy for Therapists: Recognizing the unique weight we carry, I am continuing to offer a therapeutic holding space specifically for fellow healers, grounded in a culturally affirming framework. •Culturally Grounded Organizational Development: I am expanding my work with organizations, providing the high-level training and structural support necessary to create truly equitable and culturally grounded environments. Whether you are seeking individual therapy or individual/group supervision, I aim to offer an affirming, relational space that supports your growth, sustainability, and integrity as both a person and a clinician.
College is a time of transition and change. This can be a time of struggle and existential anxiety for many people. Everyone has times of uncertainty. I will help you explore who you are and what your predicaments are as you become more yourself. You do not have to do this alone. I have many years experience working with people in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics at all levels. Together we can explore your life and relationships to discover ways in which you can live more authentically, in alignment with your values. I trained and worked in England before moving to Boulder in 2010. I have worked with students and academics all over the world and have over 30 years experience as a therapist; I bring all of that with me as I meet each new client. I will help you describe, clarify and unravel your relationship to the world, your self and other people. We do not have to start with your childhood.
I would like to tell you about my practice. I offer a warm, relaxed environment for exploring what may be difficult issues. It is my belief that your wisdom combined with my experience and openness can lead to a life of more joy and freedom. I have been working with individuals, couples, and groups in the counseling psychotherapy field since 1994. It has been a privilege and joy to watch so many couples find their way back to intimacy, so many individuals find relief in what may be tormenting them, so many others find joy and fulfillment in their lives. My approach to therapy is client-centered. I draw from humanistic psychology, somatic psychotherapy, existential psychology and philosophy, gestalt therapy and psychodynamic theories. Which simply means I work with the body, choices, and meaning making. I invite you into the room with me, all of you, including the aspects of yourself that you may have difficulties with. Therapy is a form of play where one experiments with ways of being. In doing this you begin to discover and ultimately let go of what is getting in the way of having a full rich and joyful life. You will discover a multitude of choices of how to approach life and relationships. You will find the opportunity to step into your freedom. This leads to more openness, presence, and creativity.
Hello! My passion is working with university students to live their best lives with healthy minds, bodies, and spirits. I have tailored my career, since residency, to working with this wonderfully diverse population while at the University of Illinois, followed by a move to Boulder, CO, then settling down in Fort Collins, and working at the Colorado State University Health Network for several years. I’m now in private practice down the road from CSU and across from the vet school. And I am licensed in both Colorado and Wyoming (with office space in Fort Collins, CO and Laramie, WY) I trained at the University of Illinois for both medical school (2005) and residency (2009) in psychiatry. I offer both psychotherapy and medication management. While I have expertise in many mental illnesses, I have a strong interest in ADHD, sleep disorders, women’s health issues, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to thrive! Feel free to send me an email!
