Hi! I'm glad you're here. Being a student is not just about learning whatever you're studying; it's also a dynamic time in your life. A time during which you may be learning about yourself and others through new experiences. You may be navigating familiar and unfamiliar challenges, some of which can impact your sense of well-being and your mental health. In my experience, we all need support at times in our lives to overcome obstacles, explore our choices, and to strengthen our relationship with ourselves and others. I am passionate about working with students struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship and family concerns, sexual assault, identity and self-esteem, career and academic struggle, grief and loss, and life transitions. Additionally, I have 5+ years working with students and professionals in the STEM field. Thank you for taking steps to address your mental health by looking into therapy. You deserve to live a life full of vitality.

Unresolved childhood trauma and attachment issues are root causes that make us who we are - but that doesn’t mean we can’t work to change those maladaptive patterns you learned growing up… Do you also experience generational and childhood trauma, cultural expectations that don’t always align with societal norms, low self-worth and people pleasing behaviors? Stop the cycle and be the first one in your family to start this healing journey. I’ll challenge and support you to help identify triggers, behaviors and feelings connected to past relationships or experiences in order to change the patterns that hinder you from being your best self. I aim to guide clients in discovering their patterns and getting off autopilot to begin living a life they choose! I am strongly connected with non-traditional lifestyles and work to cultivate a safe place for all people, most frequently working with clients in queer, non-monogamous, & kink relationships. Most of my clients are wanting to work on issues mostly unrelated to but within the context of these communities and lifestyles, and are tired of having to spend so much time explaining the context to therapists unfamiliar with their world. I also work with folks looking to explore these aspects of themselves for the first time. Growing up, my father's Navy career caused our family to move every 0.5-2.5 years. Since transition was my constant, I developed unique insight into the complex intersection and paradox of excitement, anxiety, fear, resistance, confidence, insecurity, love, and hate that can all be felt simultaneously during times of major change. This is why I love working with college students and helping them to navigate experiences such as: being away from home and re-configuring family relationships; exploring new friendships and romantic relationships; discovering their life path(s); learning a larger variety of ways to cope, communicate, and relate to themselves and the world; and diving more deeply into issues related to identity (e.g. sexuality, gender, higher consciousness, vocation, etc.). I tailor my approach with each of my clients, but primarily utilize mindfulness, experiential activities, and somatic techniques (i.e. deepening the relationship and communication between your mind and body).
I work primarily with young adults who are navigating that in-between stage of life—college, early career, shifting relationships, and figuring out what’s next. Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of themselves, often dealing with anxiety, depression, or big life transitions. I tend to be a good fit for students who are looking for more consistent, ongoing support outside of a short-term counseling model. I also have experience working with clients who are struggling with higher levels of distress, including suicidal thoughts or self-harm, and I aim to provide a steady, supportive space where they can feel safe and work toward stability. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I focus on helping clients better understand what they’re going through, build coping skills, and feel more grounded and confident in themselves and their decisions. Because my practice is fully virtual, I’m able to offer flexible scheduling that works well for students balancing classes, work, and other responsibilities.
Are you feeling stuck? Or perhaps anxiety, fear, other emotions, or memories are preventing you from being your true self? Asking for help can feel intimidating, and at the same time everyone needs help at some point in their life. I am glad you are starting this process. I am here to work together with you on your concerns, issues, or perhaps the much needed space of a listening ear. I find it can be difficult to vocalize our emotions, share our story, or be our true selves due to many underlying emotions.

Hello and welcome! I'm a licensed clinical social worker and licensed addictions counselor providing virtual therapy to BIPOC individuals and families in Colorado who are navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma. I received my master's degree in social work and bachelor's degree in psychology from MSU Denver and my professional background includes over 10 years of experience working with BIPOC adolescents, families, and adults in various settings. Clients would describe me as down-to-earth, grounded, validating, and easy to talk to. I value creating a therapeutic relationship that feels genuine and supportive while also encouraging growth and self-reflection. I'm trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy which helps with exploring emotions, attachment patterns, and relationship dynamics to create deeper emotional connection and security; EMDR which allows us to process difficult or traumatic experiences that may continue to impact the present; and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which provides practical tools for managing emotions, navigating stress, improving relationships, and building resilience.
I am dedicated to supporting people as they navigate through the new chapters that pregnancy and parenthood bring. I'm certified and trained through Postpartum Support International as an advocate to increase awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms. I also specialize in grief and loss, infertility, and adoption. In addition, I offer services and support to individuals and couples wanting to improve their relationships with themselves, their partners and/or their family. I specialize in working with those who are experiencing; depression, anxiety, grief, relational challenges, self-identity issues and trauma. My goal as your therapist is to provide you with an environment where you feel heard and understood. I value creating relationships with my clients and want to build a trusting space for you. I work in collaboration with you to find skills that work for you on an individual basis; actively working towards moving your life in a direction that you desire. Unlike traditional talk-therapy, our work is present-focused, where we work on identifying your values and goals, and look into how they fit into your life. It’s common to believe that you should be able to handle whatever life throws at you on your own, however having support and guidance along the way can make the learning curve much less intimidating.

If insight alone hasn’t changed your patterns, something deeper is begging to be understood. High functioing anxiety? Disconnected, or stuck in repeating relationship and life patterns? Overwhelmed or just plain blah? It's life changing to incorporate body, mind and heart to fully develop a strong internal sense of self. I integrate psychotherapy with the Enneagram and yoga therapy to uncover the unconscious patterns driving stress, attachment, and emotional reactivity. Knowing your Enneagram type and subtype often accelerates therapy by revealing why you cope the way you do—so change becomes embodied, precise, and lasting. With 25+ years of experience, I offer a holistic, trauma-informed approach integrating cognitive behavioral and somatic therapy. My style is straightforward and supportive. As a 2x published author, Enneagram-certified therapist, and yoga therapist, I work with individuals and couples to customize mind-body treatment that supports real, lasting change. Witnessing the transformation as you move from wounded, unbalanced and fearful, to being empowered, focused and self-reliant, is one of my greatest rewards. The power of growth never fails to amaze me, and I am grateful to be part of your journey! I welcome you to begin this process! Now, all you have to do is click the button to start. I've got you! :)
Welcome and thank you for taking this first step toward becoming the best version of you! As a student, you already have some much to deal with without the added stress of anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, substance use issues, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss or whatever it is that you are currently dealing with. I am here to help carry some of that burden while we work toward the life you want, together. As a therapist, I value open, collaborative communication. You know yourself best and I am here to take your lead and support you in whatever capacity you need. I have experience and passion working with all the challenges listed previously. I look forward to starting this journey with you.

Hi and welcome to my page. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing outpatient therapy to children, adolescents and young adults. I spent my first few years serving the underserved in a community mental health clinic. During this time I supported clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties including: anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual abuse, grief and life transitions. I am particularly passionate about working with young adults around issues of anxiety, depression, relationships and grief. My approach is psychodynamic and collaborative, which means that I seek to understand your point of view and history while we examine together areas in which you may be struggling or feel "stuck." My goal is to meet you where you are and work together to improve your level of functioning and provide you with a fresh perspective that will empower you to live the life you want. I offer a free 10 minute phone consultation in order to determine if I am a good fit for your needs. I look forward to being a part of your journey.
My goal is to help you find new ways to relate to the world and to enable you to embrace your experiences more fully and bravely. I hope to do this by creating a safe, open, and collaborative environment where you can experiment with new ways of relating to yourself and others. I bring in skills from therapies, such as ACT and DBT, to help you find your strengths and develop your resources. And I recognize that the most growth occurs in an authentic relationship which balances compassion with challenge and emphasizes social justice and intersectionality. Having recovered from an eating disorder, I approach my work from a Health-at-Every-Size and fat-positive framework. All bodies are good bodies, all foods are good foods, and all emotions are valid. I also have experience working with interpersonal trauma, grief, relationship struggles, disordered eating and body image concerns, and identity development, as well as anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
