Therapists for college students near Denver, CO
Looking for a therapist can feel overwhelming and uncertain, especially when trauma, identity, or religious experiences have made it hard to feel safe in your own life. I support adults navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, and suicidal ideation, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse clients. I provide collaborative, trauma-informed care that builds coping skills, increases insight, and supports lasting change. I support clients in building strong coping skills, stability, and a sense of safety before moving into deeper trauma work. Using CAMS, DBT, IFS, trauma-informed and trauma-focused approaches, I offer collaborative, affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients navigating trauma, identity, and suicidal thoughts. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’ve been carrying a lot on your own. You don’t have to do it alone. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, I welcome you to reach out when you’re ready.
I work best with people who are curious about understanding themselves and the experiences that have shaped them. Many of the students and clients I support are navigating anxiety, stress, relationships, identity, career questions, major life decisions, or feeling unsure about their next steps. In addition to being a counselor, I am a psychology and career development educator. I regularly work with college students exploring their strengths, values, goals, and the question many of us face during transitions: “Who am I, and where do I want to go from here?” My approach is collaborative and human. Together, we explore your story with curiosity rather than criticism, better understand patterns, reconnect with your strengths and values, and build practical tools to help you move forward with more intention.
I work best with college students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to balance school, relationships, and life transitions. Many are navigating anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, or the impact of past experiences. My goal is to support students in healing, transforming unhelpful patterns, and building the tools they need to thrive—both in college and beyond.
I founded Keshet Counseling to support individuals who often feel overlooked or misunderstood in traditional therapy spaces. My work is especially meaningful to those navigating the complexities of chronic illness, such as Lyme Disease, Mold Toxicity, MCAS, and other invisible disabilities, as well as those facing antisemitism or discrimination for not aligning with political or institutional expectations. I also work closely with teens and adults dealing with antisemitism, narcissistic abuse, multicultural identity issues, codependency, love addiction, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. My approach is rooted in body centered somatic psychology using mindfulness. We’ll explore unconscious beliefs and patterns shaping your experience by noticing whats happening for you in this moment. I hold a humanistic view of healing: I believe you are already whole, worthy, and deeply capable of transformation. My role is to help reconnect you to your own inner knowing, and I view our relationship as a collaborative space where your voice and wisdom lead the way. I don’t believe there’s something wrong with you, rather, what happened to you.
I work best with students who feel overwhelmed by the pressure to keep everything together on their own. Many of my clients are juggling classes, relationships, family expectations, and their own mental health, and they're tired of pretending they're fine. I especially connect with students navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, or big transitions like starting college, switching majors, or returning to school after time away. Clients often come in feeling stuck, stressed, or unsure of what they want, but they're also thoughtful, motivated, and ready for a space where they don't have to perform. If you're someone who wants support untangling what's working, what's not, and how to move toward a life that feels more balanced, grounded, and genuinely yours, we'll be a great fit.
You don’t have to have everything figured out to start therapy. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself lately. Whatever brought you here, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it on your own. I work with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, life transitions, burnout, or relationship stress. Many of my clients are used to holding it all together on the outside while struggling internally. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being fully yourself. In our work together, we’ll explore patterns, build coping tools, processing emotions, while moving at a pace that feels right for you. I draw from numerous approaches in therapy, but most importantly, I tailor therapy to you. Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I aim to make that process feel approachable and grounded from the beginning. If you’re considering working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to learn more about what you’re looking for and see if it feels like a good fit.
How are you handling your life right now? Life can feel overwhelming creating stress, anxiety, fear, and doubt, and leaving us feeling paralyzed and stuck. Transitioning to college, and life after college can really take a minute. As we adjust to new seasons of life, there tends to be a period of the unknown with mixed emotions. Life transitions need life skills. I work with you like we are in a partnership to navigate through the past wounds into a healthier, more stable, and confident future.
I aim to guide clients in discovering their patterns and getting off autopilot to begin living a life they choose! I am strongly connected with non-traditional lifestyles and work to cultivate a safe place for all people, most frequently working with clients in queer, non-monogamous, & kink relationships. Most of my clients are wanting to work on issues mostly unrelated to but within the context of these communities and lifestyles, and are tired of having to spend so much time explaining the context to therapists unfamiliar with their world. I also work with folks looking to explore these aspects of themselves for the first time. Growing up, my father's Navy career caused our family to move every 0.5-2.5 years. Since transition was my constant, I developed unique insight into the complex intersection and paradox of excitement, anxiety, fear, resistance, confidence, insecurity, love, and hate that can all be felt simultaneously during times of major change. This is why I love working with college students and helping them to navigate experiences such as: being away from home and re-configuring family relationships; exploring new friendships and romantic relationships; discovering their life path(s); learning a larger variety of ways to cope, communicate, and relate to themselves and the world; and diving more deeply into issues related to identity (e.g. sexuality, gender, higher consciousness, vocation, etc.). I tailor my approach with each of my clients, but primarily utilize mindfulness, experiential activities, and somatic techniques (i.e. deepening the relationship and communication between your mind and body).
Balancing academics, relationships, work, family expectations, and planning for the future can feel like a lot. I enjoy helping college students and young adults navigate stress, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm in a supportive and down to earth environment. Together, we can work toward helping you feel more confident, grounded, and connected to yourself.

I use a variety of clinical tools, including EMDR, to address the roots of problems, allowing you to move forward. I aim to leave clients feeling empowered by providing a supportive, safe, and affirming space where you can show up just as you are. I am passionate about working with students who are performing artists/creatives, living with trauma, perfectionism, and/or going through life transitions. College can be an exciting time, but it can also feel overwhelming. Between classes, relationships, friendships, family expectations, work, and figuring out who you are, it's easy to feel like you're supposed to have everything figured out when you're still trying to find your footing. I'm Grace, and I'm a therapist who works with young adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, identity, and the pressure to "have it all together". My approach is warm, collaborative, and judgement-free. Therapy isn't about telling you what you SHOULD do. It's a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and build a life that actually feels like yours. Whether you're struggling to manage the demands of college, feeling disconnected from yourself, navigating a difficult relationship, or simply feel like something is "off", you don't have to figure it out alone. We can work together to understand what's underneath the stress, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and help you feel more confident moving forward. Life is going okay, but you know it could be better. You want better relationships or you’re having trouble navigating boundaries with that one family member. You’re feeling depressed, anxious, stressed, and you’re self-aware, but you don’t know what to do about it. There is this nagging belief that something is wrong with you or that you should be doing more. Maybe you’re in transition and or you just really want to make sure you’re mentally well. Individual therapy is great for addressing all of these challenges and joys in life. Part of what works about individual therapy is a solid relationship with a therapist who really gets you, helps you see different perspectives, and helps you make sense of what is going on in your life. You’re the expert on you and as a therapist, I walk with you to help you heal and move forward.
