I provide individual therapy to young adults and adults experiencing a range of concerns including substance use, trauma, life transitions, and the unique stressors men face. I approach counseling from the perspective that you already have strengths and abilities that you can use to become your strongest self. Together, we find those strengths and put them to work towards your goals. As part of this I often use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, a technique that looks at the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. It’s been shown to be incredibly effective at helping people make lasting changes in their lives. I am a Master Addiction Counselor and trained in E.M.D.R., a technique shown to be effective in treating trauma. It is also common that you may not have your finger on exactly what you hope to work on, yet you know you are seeking growth and change. If that’s the case, therapy can be a powerful tool to help you clarify what you want and how to best get it. If you are interested in learning more about how working together can help you reach your goals, contact me for a free consultation. Consultations are done by phone, take about 15 minutes and give us a chance to see if we would be a good fit to work together.

Intown Psychology provides therapy for children, teens and young adults. We are based in Atlanta and specialize in anxiety disorders, ADHD, and depression. Our team is skilled in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and exposure and response prevention (ERP) among other modalities. Our approach is solution-focused, and we practice from a trauma-informed approach. Intown Psychology is a self-pay practice. The range is between $150–$250. We do not take insurance at this time. However, we can always provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider, which typically goes toward your out-of-network deductible.
I help folks with Eating Disorders and other people who want to find a positive and peaceful relationship with food, who are ready for an alternative to prescriptive diets and fads, and looking for a more sustainable solution to their eating woes: whether that physical symptoms, dysfunctional eating, negative body image, or food preoccupation. I use utilize the principles of Intuitive Eating and operate from a weight-neutral lens, meaning focus on behaviors and measurable health outcomes (both physical and psychological) vs. a weight-centric approach and over-reliance on BMI (a wildly inappropriate tool for individual assessment). Evidence-based nutrition counseling services from a license professional are offered via Telehealth or in person at my Decatur office, to folks living in Georgia who want a whole-person and collaborative approach to wellness.

If you are LGBTQ+, polyamorous, kinky, or exploring your identity, it can be exhausting to live in a world that barely tolerates, much less affirms, every part of you. If you feel like you are drowning under the pressure of today’s demands, how are you supposed to find the energy to work on your goals, learn who you are, or take time to enjoy life? You may currently feel alone, unloved, or like you don’t deserve happiness. You might find yourself numb and in emotional pain, wishing people could see and understand your real self. You’re ready to get help, and you want a therapist that specializes in clients like you. I am a gay, transgender clinician dedicated to providing individual therapy to Georgia’s gender, sexuality, and relationship structure minority communities. I am passionate about my community and filling the gap in mental health care many of us experience. My services are also sex-positive, weight-inclusive, neurodiverse-friendly, and culturally-affirming. I offer both in-person and online sessions for your convenience and accessibility. Clients that work with me appreciate positive, gentle masculinity paired with the occasional dad joke. I am a trauma-informed provider who specializes in supporting individuals and couples navigating conflict, depression, anxiety, infertility, chronic illness, grief/loss, trauma and transition. One of the bravest things we can do is begin to understand our own stories. Clients I support often grapple with the impact of narratives about who they were, are, or "should be", leaving them questioning, "Do I matter?" or shedding pieces of their identity to generate a sense of belonging. Together, we can explore societal and relational influences on your story, while identifying your values, strengths, options for healing and growth. I believe every client holds expertise in their own experiences and deserves the right to make decisions honoring personal journeys and values. My approach incorporates relational-cultural, feminist, and interpersonal lenses. I utilize the Gottman Method, CBT, DBT, IFS, and MSC strategies, also drawing from 12+ years of experience as a parent and educator. Everyone deserves to experience validation, compassion, and belonging. I am committed to facilitating a space in which you feel understood, valued, and supported as we prioritize your goals, explore your story, and incorporate strategies for reintegrating pieces of your Self so you also can experience increased personal acceptance and relational connection.
I work with men to navigate quarter life issues and embrace emotional wellness. Being at our emotional peak is important to living a healthy life. I help men navigate the challenges they are having in their lives and reach their full potential. I believe young men face challenges like never before and I want to help them live out of their strengths. I help men navigate a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, addiction, and more.
I provide inclusive, affirming therapy for individuals navigating identity, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. My practice centers neurodivergent, grievers, LGBTQ+ folks, people of color, and anyone who’s ever felt like the “only” in the room. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up fully as yourself - messy, brilliant, questioning, and human. Using a relational, trauma-informed approach, I work collaboratively to help you explore your experiences, reconnect with your values, and build a life that feels meaningful and grounded. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, burnout, or just trying to figure out who you are, you're not alone - and you don't have to do it alone.
To all the self-proclaimed perfectionists & people-pleasers out there: No, life does not have to be this hard. Let me paint you a picture: You are overwhelmed by stress and anxiety, but you do everything you can to appear perfectly fine in front of other people. You feel really alone, but you’re afraid to burden others with your pain. You feel like you’re constantly running on empty, but you don’t know how to get back to feeling like yourself again. To make matters worse, that voice in your head won’t shut up about how you can't trust yourself and there must be something wrong with you. Does this sound like you? Truth is, feeling this way sucks. You don’t have to keep living with all this pain. With the help of EMDR, we can reduce the overwhelm & emptiness you feel by actually letting your brain and body heal themselves. You can be free. You can feel calm & peaceful. You can be kind to yourself. You can actually get your needs met. All of this is possible for you! If you are finally ready to say goodbye to this inner pain and start creating the fulfilling & beautiful life you dream of, I can help you get there. Together we will come up with an individualized plan for you to heal in your own best way. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to talk more about what this could look like for you. Email me to schedule today!
People who never felt "just like everyone else" or dealt with a lot of negative self talk are those who I love supporting most. I am an art therapist, as well as a licensed professional counselor, and that means we have a lot of options in our tool box to find what works best for you. What is most important to me is making sure you feel heard, comfortable, and safe (and maybe even laugh once or twice)! I specialize in adolescents as well as young adults/college age clients as they continue to navigate "growing up". Sometimes sessions may be 100% talk therapy, sometimes 100% art/music interventions, and often some mix of both- it is totally up to what you are most comfortable with.
I am motivated to serve my community by merging my clinical expertise and lived experience. This looks like a focus on work with trans people. I believe strongly that trans clients deserve trans clinicians. I also serve folks with chronic illness and neurodiversity. Trauma is an experience that most of us have and I center it in all the work I do. I am a somatic therapist. This means I am passionate about your mental and physical health. I use modalities such as Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist my clients on their path to heal in response to stress and trauma. If you feel compelled to work with me please reach out. I am easily available by phone or email so we can talk more. I am accepting new clients and hungry to work with folks in my community!
