I can provide the space needed to help navigate life's challenges, while feeling secure about the choices you make! I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. My specialities include supporting individuals with anxiety and substance abuse, which can commonly co-occur. Understanding addiction and having the tools to manage emotions can lead to a healthier lifestyle. Let's challenge some of your common unhealthy thoughts together! Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and being active with my dog Auggie. I believe my energy and personality remain calm and balanced, making it easier to open up. I work with college students, emerging adults, and professionals navigating anxiety, identity concerns, workplace stress, career exploration, and life transitions. I see therapy as an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself during moments of uncertainty or change. My approach is grounded in authenticity, curiosity, and presence, and I value being sincere and direct while maintaining warmth and thoughtful reflection. I aim to create a supportive, respectful therapeutic space where clients feel understood and empowered. My work integrates psychotherapy with mindfulness-informed and holistic practices that support self-awareness, grounding, and connection. I’m drawn to approaches that invite clients to slow down, tune in, and build a more intentional relationship with themselves, while honoring the whole person beyond symptoms alone. I completed my doctoral internship at Duke University Counseling and Psychological Services, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Headspace Health. I hold a PhD in Psychology from Tennessee State University’s APA-accredited program and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. I am also certified in Mental Health Coaching.
In Pursuit Counseling helps people navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and identity questions. Our therapists offer warm, story-centered care — practical tools and meaningful conversation to help you move forward. We believe that every person’s story holds both beauty and struggle, and that real change happens when those stories are heard, understood, and honored. Here, therapy isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level solutions. It’s about slowing down, telling the truth about where you’ve been, and imagining where you want to go next. Whether you’re untangling old patterns, rebuilding after loss, or learning to trust yourself again, we create a space where all parts of you are welcome. Together, we’ll work toward change that lasts—change that leaves you feeling grounded, connected, and more fully yourself.
My name is Mary Clare, and I am a dedicated mental health clinician with experience providing therapy to children, adults, and families. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual. I provide a supportive space to address issues like anxiety, stress, transitions, and personal growth. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based modalities to help clients build resilience, increase self-awareness, and achieve their goals. I am confident we can cultivate an environment for you to heal and reach your goals, and I would love the opportunity to see if we are a good fit. I am currently accepting new clients in-person and virtually.
Hi, I'm Lucy, LSW (she/her)! I believe that our environment, community, and positionality work together to shape our mental health. I view therapy as a collaboration between the therapist and the client, as you are the expert of your own experience. Together, we will explore the approaches and skills that best fit your needs to support you in navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, neurodivergence, identity and LGBTQ+ related concerns, as well as relationship challenges, family dynamics, and major life transitions. I approach therapy from an integrative and holistic, trauma-informed lens to recognize the importance of the client’s self-determination when engaging in therapy and trauma work. I primarily utilize CBT and DBT when working with clients with anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and depression. In my work with couples, I primarily utilize IFS (Internal Family Systems) and narrative therapy to identify the roles and stories within a relationship. As your therapist, I am here to help you challenge negative thoughts and look at situations through different lenses, while also providing a space for you to express your vulnerabilities and reflect on past experiences. My hope is that our work feels meaningful and that you feel comfortable and seen in the space we create together.
Across all therapeutic modalities I aim to maintain a safe space, which allows both therapist and client to collaborate and engage in natural conversation. I believe it is through these interactions where a relationship can be developed and certain insights come to light. In our work together, clients are able to learn more about their relational patterns, both through the experience of retelling their stories as well as firsthand within therapeutic interactions. As these insights provide opportunity for better understanding of current difficulties, ultimately, meaningful and empowered change can be pursued. I utilize a variety of therapeutic styles in my treatment approach including humanistic, relational and psychodynamic based approaches. I also make use of emotion-focused therapy and cognitive-behavioral-based approaches when working with couples and symptomatic issues, respectively.
I offer a warm and affirming space for you to move away from shame or past traumatic harms toward self-compassion and a stronger sense of agency in your life. My approach to therapy centers the therapeutic relationship and honors the ways that people heal alongside one another. I aim to be nonjudgmental, exploratory, and compassionate in my work with you. In my work, I draw largely from relational, psychodynamic, somatic, and trauma-centered frameworks to help individuals strengthen their relationships to themselves, their bodies, and those near them. Further, I take a social justice approach to therapy that acknowledges the role that power and oppressive systems have in shaping mental health. I have special interest in working with people seeking support for complex trauma, grief, burnout, significant life transitions, or relationship challenges. I welcome all communities but bring lived experience to work with LGBTQ+ and Latine individuals as a queer Mexican-American therapist.

We are a group of mental health professionals skilled in the practice of individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy. I specialize in working with clients to process grief and trauma. Before starting Rainy Day, I worked at an out-patient day center for trauma and mood disorders as the lead art therapist, eventually shifting to be a therapist at a group practice. I work alongside you to support your growth in personal and professional experiences through trauma, grief, and life transitions.
As a pansexual, genderqueer, and religious minority therapist, I have a passion for supporting clients who have similarly felt “othered” for their own intersecting identities. I identify as an integrationist in my therapy style, where I tailor my approach to your concerns in a way that fits your individual needs. Prior to my doctorate, I worked as a risk-reduction counselor for a nonprofit STI testing center, where I discovered my passion for caring for those historically underserved in the LGBTQ+ community. Accordingly, I view my six years of training in counseling psychology as a means to uplift those who are historically underserved. Although I have worked in many settings such as community counseling and outpatient hospitals, I found a love for serving young adults in university counseling in both health sciences and general areas of study. I feel honored to help people at a crossroads of their own identity exploration. If you also find yourself wanting to explore yourself and your values, I would love the opportunity to connect with you.
