Therapists for college students near 02155
I specialize in working with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, identity concerns, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are managing high expectations—whether external or internal—that leave them feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. I offer a space to explore painful emotions, heal from past experiences, and reconnect with your values to build a life that feels grounded and meaningful.
I create a warm environment and empower my clients to take back control of their lives. I encourage an active therapy experience where clients learn skills, set weekly goals, and complete homework to build a sense of independence and self-confidence. Whether you're struggling with your self-esteem, anxious thoughts, work stress, relationships, general motivation or more, I can help! My style is a blend of the following treatment approaches: CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Holistic Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy and Trauma-Informed Therapy. I am always seeking out trainings, books, and podcasts to inform these approaches and provide up-to-date psychoeducation and resources. I look forward to helping you explore and overcome your struggles with compassion, good humor, and evidenced based techniques. I won't be the type of therapist who just sits backs and nods. I want to help you with active problem solving and building skills. It may be helpful to know that I am a married mom of a 4 year old boy and dog mom of 8 year old doodle. I am a real person navigating life's ups and downs just like you and I'm happy to share parts of my personal life (mistakes and all) if I feel that it helps enhance the therapy process. I have a proven record of success and would be honored to be chosen for your therapy journey. I look forward to connecting soon.

My ideal client is someone who is ready and motivated to dive in head first into their healing journey. Someone who knows they have their “stuff” but really wants to explore where it all stems from. I love working with those clients who just trying to figure it all out in this life (I see you, Millennials) and who are navigating the transitions and curveballs that can be thrown our way. I love meeting the client where they’re at to begin with, but don’t be surprised when I push you a little bit. I’ve been told that I have a really great way of understanding mental health, but I’m also known not to sugar coat the realities. I am trained in EMDR (A trauma processing modality using eye movements) and other trauma informed care models to explore the aspects of our past and handle the bigger emotions that could come along with that. Being real and relatable is very important to me in my sessions as the therapist/client connection is what will drive this boat. As your therapist, I can promise to provide you the tools to step outside of your own head and connect the dots that answer the question of “Why am I the way that I am”? Therapy is not always easy and we need to be honest with ourselves with what’s holding us back, but I can promise to provide positive vibes and great support every single time we meet.
I like getting to know my clients and their primary reason for seeking therapy. Clients should feel comfortable, welcome a challenge, but also feel that I can be a vessel for non-judgment. I am warm, open-minded, and direct. The goal is to have clients feel safe enough to explore their struggles so we can build a plan together for your optimal mental health and well-being.
The students I connect with most are curious about themselves and want to understand not just what they feel, but why. Many seem capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside — struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, friendship or dating struggles, or a harsh inner critic. Some notice the same patterns repeating or feel unsure of who they are and what they want. If you’re ready to look a little deeper, we’ll likely be a good fit. I offer a steady, supportive space to explore the inner stuff you’ve been carrying around. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a sense of humor to our work, helping therapy feel human, relatable, and sometimes even a little fun. I use talk therapy as our foundation, and when it’s a good fit, I may also bring in EMDR, a well-researched approach that helps your brain process difficult experiences — whether from the past or present — so they feel less intense and less triggering. I also draw from practical skills, mindfulness, and self-exploration tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control — ready to move through college with greater clarity, self-trust, and maybe even a few laughs along the way.
Life is all about relationships, whether it's with yourself, your partner(s), co-workers, family, or friends. Every interaction matters. How you react, communicate, and understand yourself, shapes the way you experience the world. No one really teaches us how to thrive in relationships. I offer a space where you can break out of old patterns, gain clarity, and make meaningful progress in your life and relationships. I work with individuals and couples who are motivated to do the work and embrace change. If you are ready to invest in yourself, I am currently accepting new clients via telehealth.
Getting the right psychiatric medication, and truly optimizing it, takes more than a prescription. My background as a psychotherapist sets my medication management approach apart: I bring a clinician's understanding of the whole person to every prescribing decision- comprehensive assessments, attentive follow-up, and genuine partnership as we work toward getting you feeling better as soon as possible. My experience spans community health, universities, private practice, and leading medical centers including McLean Hospital and MGH. I specialize in medication management for adults navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. I have advanced training serving LGBTQIA+ populations and I’m a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Whether you're new to medication or re-evaluating your regimen, I offer thorough, individualized care. All appointments are telehealth, making care accessible wherever you are in Massachusetts. I prioritize clear communication and collaboration- you'll always understand your treatment plan and have a voice in shaping it. My goal is not just symptom relief, but lasting improvement in how you feel and function day to day.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your head, or unsure of who you are or where you’re going, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy can be a space where you feel grounded and comfortable showing up as you are, without pressure or judgment, while we make sense of what’s been weighing on you. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, self-doubt, relationship challenges, family conflict, or major life transitions, my goal is to make you feel supported and respected while you gain insight and confidence in who you are and how to manage whatever comes your way. I work with adolescents, teens, and young adults navigating the pressures of school, relationships, identity development, and expectations from others (and themselves). I also specialize in supporting athletes with confidence, focus, motivation, and returning to sport after injury while staying focused on who you are beyond performance. My approach is collaborative and person-centered. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to help you identify your strengths and values, develop practical tools, and build momentum toward meaningful change. I draw from EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, and Solution-Focused strategies in ways that are flexible and tailored to your needs and values.

I am a client-centered psychologist who works with adults and adolescents (13+). I provide a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment and believe a strong client-therapist relationship is essential for growth and change. I integrate aspects of multiple therapeutic modalities, including behavioral approaches (CBT, DBT, behavioral medicine/health psychology), mindfulness-based interventions, humanism, existential, relational and developmental theory, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic-informed care. I help patients/clients address a range of concerns including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use struggles, difficulties in relationships, grief/loss, identifying life goals, navigating life transitions, and balancing work-life demands. I received my training at William James College (Newton, MA). Trained with Advocates Community Counseling, Rutgers University College Counseling, and Boston Behavioral Medicine. In all my work with clients I provide a warm, safe and respectful environment based on collaboration and curiosity. When people contact me they often feel stuck or at a loss about how to proceed. They may be concerned about issues of self-esteem, satisfaction in relationships, or having difficulty managing stress in their work or school life. I use an active and interactive style in helping clients gain new ways to understand themselves and new tools to address problematic patterns of thinking, feeling, or behaving. I strive to be open-minded and non-judgmental in helping clients gain deeper understanding of the nature and underlying causes of the problems that bring them to me. I wish you the best in your search for a therapist and welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

My clients don't come to therapy to hear someone nod and agree with everything they say. That isn't worth their time or money. They want real help. They want to know "what to do" and "how to fix it" because they are struggling with depression, severe anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, suicidal thoughts, parenting issues, and other painful situations. They're looking for a true expert that they can actually talk to. I am a member of PSYPACT which means I can see clients in every state that is a member of PSYPACT. I'm also licensed in both TN and MA. I'm a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician and an expert in Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, self-harm, and oppositional adolescents. I am an Associate faculty member at Vanderbilt University and have served as a trainer and consultant for a variety of hospitals, schools, and the military. I founded and own PSYCHē, PLLC, a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT skills groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. New members can begin right away!
