Hello! My overarching approach is Relationship-Based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I find that integrating CBT with key therapeutic relationship factors such as validation, empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness produce the best outcomes. When appropriate, I also utilize such approaches as mindfulness, acceptance, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills. My goal is to not only reduce the distress from your presenting problems but also improve your overall well-being and experience personal growth across many facets of life. I have specialized in treating adolescents and adults in various settings, from inpatient psychiatric hospitals to community outpatient clinics. I can treat significant mental health issues like PTSD and chronic depression, while also providing support for significant life adjustments like transitioning to college and high school related stressors. I’m originally from central MA and a psychology professor at Assumption University where I teach graduate students to be CBT counselors. Please feel free to explore my website to learn more about me and the services I provide. I pride myself in establishing a strong therapeutic relationship while working towards goals that are important to you!

I offer a non-judgemental and safe place for students to explore. I utilize EMDR, CBT, Solution-Focused, and strengths based approaches to therapy. Hello, some of my strengths include identifying and cultivating strengths in others, giving language to complex feelings, detangling complex issues and finding paths to wholeness. My goal in therapy is to support others to reach their personal goals and even help them identify what those may be if they are unsure. My ideal Patient is motivated to change and open to trying various techniques. I'm dual licensed in the States of Massachusetts and Illinois and provide only Teletherapy. I've been in clinical practice since 2013, yet have 20 years of experience through mentoring young adults. One of my strongest areas of expertise is healing from trauma, of all kinds. What I often find in practice are Patients unaware of neglect and abandonment that they have lived through. Life is full of challenges and difficult moments. I believe that as human beings, we are wired to deal with our pain in ways that leave us feeling lost, exhausted, and hopeless. We may lose sight of our purpose, our values, our loved ones, and the many other aspects of life that make us whole and content. With humility and compassion, I aim to support you in dropping the struggle and finding new ways to achieve the well-being you deserve. You don’t have to figure it out alone, and I'm sure we'll share some laughs along the way. I utilize a psychodynamic lens which focuses on the unconscious forces that often drive our emotions and actions; including underlying desires and anxieties that are present deep within the mind yet influence personality and behavior. In addition, I will integrate CBT and DBT with the goal of reducing unwanted behaviors. If we work on ourselves and learn to care for ourselves, we can then be present and capable of helping those around us. I’d love to hear from you. I am best reached over e-mail or through my website.
I'm happy that you are here. I am a LMHC licensed in MA and NH. l specialize in treating those dealing with addiction, transitions, eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. I am certified in treatment for ARFID The most important part of therapy is the connection the therapist has with their client, which is something I prioritize. While therapy can be challenging, as we begin to truly look in the mirror it can also be a place of connection and trust. There is a great power in having someone to talk to and work through life with. I am here to help you in whatever way I can, whether that means a listening ear, a safe place to cry, or working towards your goals.
I work with Students at all leveles and my approach is both flexible and eclectic. I often use Brief Intermittent Therapy. I find that it works best for people to come in for a defined brief period of time (such as 6-8 weeks) and focus on one specific area that needs attention; the time in therapy is more concentrated and effective. When the need arises, I welcome clients back for a "tune up." My clinical work with students and families began in the early 1990’s. Much of my career has centered on helping kids in school settings. I also work with teachers and staff. I have successfully supported clients during times of crisis, transition, and struggle. I can help with anxiety, depression, peers, LGBTQ+ issues, and post-concussion support. I invite you to reach out and see if we would work well together. I am equally comfortable working via teletherapy or in-person therapy. My office is located in Harwich Center on Cape Cod. I'm happy to discuss what works best for you. Call or email Bonnie Jackman to schedule a free 15 minute consultation My Practice at a Glance Bonnie Jackman, LICSW 11 Pleasant Lake Ave Harwich, MA 02645 774-408-6164

You might feel stuck—questioning your identity, struggling in relationships, or carrying anxiety and self-doubt that won’t quiet down. Maybe you’re moving through a big life change or just tired of feeling like you have to hide parts of yourself to be accepted. My clients often want clarity, relief, and a more honest connection to themselves and others. I also bring a feminist perspective to help make sense of how social and cultural systems impact your lived experience. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in MA, VT, and FL, I support adults facing anxiety, depression, identity conflict, and relationship struggles. My specialty is interpersonal psychotherapy, and I bring a holistic, adaptable approach to each session—offering clarity, insight, and a space where you can better understand yourself and your connections.
