In my practice, I strive to provide therapeutic experiences that create self-awareness, self-compassion, and practical tools for improving your life. Together, we will use trauma-informed, collaborative, and empowerment-focused approaches that help to make positive change more possible. I have focused on working with women and LGBTQ+ individuals and groups who are navigating relationship issues, anxiety and depression, recovery from interpersonal violence and trauma, and family issues, which includes parenting, step-parenting, and attachment. With a background in leadership psychology, I also support women on their career and professional journeys to discover their styles of leadership.
I believe therapy can help people overcome obstacles, achieve their full potential, and work towards meaningful change. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with my clients to develop customized treatment plans that meet their unique needs. I have experience working with clients with a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, empathy, and respect for each individual's experiences and perspectives. I draw on a range of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy, to help clients achieve their goals. My goal as a therapist is to empower my clients to live their best lives. I'm committed to helping each person I work with develop the skills and tools they need to overcome challenges, build resilience, and find joy and fulfillment in their lives.

Hi! I'm Samantha, I have been a social worker for over 3 years, providing services to youth and young adults. I am licensed in both Maine and Massachusetts, providing telehealth in both states. I have my MSW from Boston College where I specialized in children, youth, and families as well as mental health. I work mostly with adolescents, and young adults navigating general stress, anxiety, and school related issues. I also specialize in special education services. I utilize a strength based approach, pulling from CBT, DBT and play therapy.
College is supposed to be exciting, but for a lot of students, it feels more like walking a tightrope: juggling coursework, relationships, pressure to figure out your future and fears of failing. If that sounds familiar, you're not alone and you're not broken. I'm MJ Wright, a licensed therapist with specialized training in anxiety and the unique pressures that come with being a student. I work with teens and young adults who find that their anxiety is getting in the way of the life they want to be living. Maybe you've noticed it showing up as procrastination, perfectionism or the inability to start an assignment even when the deadline is looming. Maybe it's lying awake at 2am replaying a conversation or catastrophizing about your GPA. Maybe you just feel chronically overwhelmed and aren't sure why. Therapy with me is a space where you don't have to perform or have it together. We'll work at a pace that feels right for you, using approaches that are grounded in evidence and tailored to what's actually going on in your life. I believe that anxiety is often a signal worth listening to, not just a symptom to eliminate. Together, we'll figure out what it's telling you and help you build a relationship with yourself that's a little less exhausting.
Every person has his or her own unique story and path to follow. We all have phases of joy and success, pain and suffering. No one is exempt from experiencing a whole range of emotions. I am here to help guide you to make the changes you wish and to liberate yourself from old patterns that no longer serve you. It would be a privilege for me to witness these meaningful changes in your life prompted by our work together in therapy. I specialize in working with college and graduate students, and young adults struggling with stress, anxiety, test anxiety and school and work problems. I have much experience working with culturally diverse clients. I have also 12 years of experience in behavioral sciences research. I provide therapy in English and Spanish. I am currently providing only Telemedicine. It's easier for me to respond via email. Please contact me by Email at evelyn.stein.lmhc@gmail.com

Having worked in both academic and corporate environments, my current work as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner has evolved from observing students’ and colleagues’ challenges and successes and their relationship to emotional health and ability to focus on daily and long-term goals. As a result of my Yale, Duke, Tufts and MGH psychiatric training, I’ve honed my observations into effective working theories about the biopsychosocial factors that influence peoples’ vitality and well-being. If you're currently struggling with academic, professional or emotional obstacles, I believe I can help. My practice involves the diagnosis and treatment of multiple mental health conditions including: ADHD, ANXIETY and DEPRESSION with a focus on compassionate, culturally sensitive, SUPPORTIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY and MEDICATION MANAGEMENT for adolescents and adults. There are times in life when our usual coping strategies and support systems are not enough and it takes courage to seek help during times of pain and uncertainty. Navigating college and graduate school in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, racial inequities and tension, and the current political climate can certainly be one of these times and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy can provide a safe space for support, learning, and meaningful change. I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in evidence-based treatments for adolescents and young adults who are seeking support to manage mood, anxiety, college mental health, life transitions, grief, motivation, sleep, and family concerns. I also specialize in working with family members or loved ones of individuals who have a diagnosis of serious mental illness, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. I am passionate about working with college and graduate students and have extensive experience and training working within the context of college mental health. My therapeutic style is warm, active, compassionate, and collaborative. I use a strengths-based approach and draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches to tailor treatment to the specific values, strengths, and goals of my clients. I utilize these approaches to help clients create a toolbox of coping skills and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Every person has a unique identity, story, and experience, and deserves personalize therapy to fit their identities and strengths. My priority is to create a space where every client feels safe discussing painful thoughts and feelings, and supported as they work toward creating meaningful change in their lives. I applaud you for taking the first step in finding a therapist. I encourage you to reach out to me if you think I may be a good fit for you.
My name is Elizabeth Barley. I am dual-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have experience working in an inpatient caring for children and adults. I also have other various areas that I have worked in from the hospital setting, home health, and palliative/hospice care. I received both my Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatrist Nurse Practitioner degrees from Purdue Global University. While attending school I worked at an inpatient mental health clinic and worked remotely as a family nurse practitioner. My focus is on the treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other chronic mental health illnesses through psychiatric assessment, medication management,t, and brief psychotherapeutic intervention. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration, and evidenced-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illnesses through supportive education in a safe environment. A client can expect their initial visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options. I have the pleasure of working alongside many skilled and experienced clinicians and am happy to collaborate and coordinate care with them when appropriate to the clients’ needs.
I am the mythical therapist who understands gender, trauma, and neurodivergence at the same time. They told you it was impossible, but they were wrong! I’m right here! Instead of teaching you buzzwords and therapyspeak, I can help you build the relational skills to communicate what you feel, want, and need in your own words. I can guide you in exploring identity and building a resilient sense of self. My approach is a fairly eclectic mix of modalities, but always relational and attachment-based. I practice from a neurodiversity lens and am well-versed in understanding and meeting the needs of clients living with autism, ADHD, and other flavors of neurodivergence. I am passionate about helping you better understand your nervous system, to contextualize why you do what you do and figure out what you need. I also know that each person I work with has been shaped not only by their individual history, but by the culture(s) and systems of power that surround them. I see naming and exploring those forces as a liberatory and necessary part of therapy. When I’m not seeing clients, I may be found spending time with friends, hiking or camping, making pottery, hanging out with my dog, reading, playing video games, or crocheting. In terms of social location, I am a white queer transmasculine/genderqueer millennial and have lived experience with neurodivergence.
Hate therapy? I get it. If you’d rather spend your time and money not sifting through your problems, I don’t blame you. But, if you are missing out on a sense of peace or feel like you'll burst if something doesn't change soon, then it’s worth it to invest in yourself through therapy. I'm committed to not pathologizing people (you are not broken), but some of the concerns I work with the most are: men’s issues (i.e. intimacy) , life transitions (i.e. college, divorce), anxiety, substance use disorders, self esteem/empowerment. I tailor sophisticated treatment modalities to your needs and am abundantly grateful for your trust. I know what it's like to suffer and to start to see the light. You can, too. Together, we focus on measurable success through the use of evidence based models. I consistently stay abreast of new interventions to best serve you. While I adhere to a therapeutic structure, you'll find me easy going and making use of humor- no one wants to talk to a robot. While I'm committed to 'dweebing it out' with psychoeducation, formal psychotherapy pairs well with a less rigid, unpretentious environment. I strive to create that space for you. People say I'm easy to talk to & I bring this spirit to our relationship to make you feel comfortable sorting through some of those tough bits of life from the start.
My goal as a therapist is to create a warm, welcoming, safe space where you can explore the areas in which you feel stuck, anxious or overwhelmed. Together, we can explore the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that serve you, as well as identify those that don’t. We can identify new options and help you make more empowered choices. Reaching out for help is a courageous act. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be your witness and to walk beside you as you begin your healing journey. When we feel safe enough to feel our feelings, we can begin to move through them, towards healing. I invite you to contact me for a free 15 minute consult to see if we are a good fit to work together.
