The Mission A Fighting Chance Counseling Services, LLC's mission is to empower teens, young adults, and purpose-driven individuals to rewrite their stories through the lens of hope, healing, and self-discovery. We are committed to creating safe, culturally relevant spaces where emotional wounds are tended to, voices are reclaimed, and futures are rebuilt; one session, one step, and one breakthrough at a time. The Vision We envision a world where every young person—especially those from underserved, displaced, and marginalized communities—has a real fighting chance to rise, to heal, and to become. Through a unique blend of clinical expertise, lived experience, faith, and mentorship, we aim to break generational cycles, dismantle mental health stigma, and guide individuals toward their “YouPrint”, a life blueprint rooted in identity, purpose, and community.
If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, lonely, or unsure of yourself, you’re not alone — and I’m really glad you’re here. So many college students and young adults struggle with anxiety, depression, sleep issues, relationship stress, or feeling uncomfortable in their own skin. It can be exhausting to carry all of that by yourself. In our work together, you’ll have a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly, breathe a little easier, and feel seen without judgment. I’m a therapist who genuinely loves helping people understand themselves and feel more grounded in their lives. Sometimes that means learning practical tools to ease anxiety or shift unhelpful patterns. Other times it’s having a quiet, steady place to sit with your feelings and figure out what you truly want. My background includes an undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and master’s degrees in Public Health and Social Work from Tulane University and Westfield State University. My approach draws from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and DBT, and I blend these methods in a way that feels natural, supportive, and tailored to you. Above all, I want you to feel safe, understood, and hopeful about the changes you’re working toward. This is a space for you — to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with more confidence and clarity.
Do you are having difficulty coping with stress, anxiety, depression or memories of past traumatic events? If you are ready to take the next step we can work together in your healing journey. I am trained in EMDR to help process past distressful life events. I also integrate IFS/parts work, polyvagal theory, art therapy, mindfulness, CBT and DBT skills into my work with clients.
At Sparks Counseling Services, LLC we are a team of fully licensed and pre-licensed clinicians who have a wealth of experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and couples. We look forward to hearing from you!
About My Practice My practice is centered around helping individuals work through the emotional challenges that leave them feeling stuck. I know that reaching out for help can be a vulnerable step, and I’m here to support you as you navigate your unique dilemmas. Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on you and find a path toward healing and relief. My Approach With over six years of experience in the field, my practice has been influenced by Compassionate Inquiry, developed by Gabor Maté, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. These approaches help you understand and connect with yourself more deeply. Through Compassionate Inquiry, we’ll uncover the root causes of your challenges, leading to greater self-acceptance and clarity. IFS allows you to connect with different parts of yourself, helping to heal inner conflicts and promote self-compassion. Healing and Growth I’m dedicated to helping you connect with your core self while releasing the burdens that hold you back. Many people struggle with self-worth, self-control, and the weight of past experiences. My approach helps those trapped in destructive patterns attain more flexibility and freedom. Within the safety of our relationship, you can begin to let go of pain and find relief in the present from whatever has been burdening you. How We Will Work Everybody thinks and feels at their own speed. We will spend as much time as needed to find a pace and flow that works well for you. As we do, we will explore your inner resources and develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. This journey can lead to a more authentic life filled with meaningful relationships and a renewed sense of possibility. Along the way, I will do all that I can to create a welcoming space where you can share your experiences without judgment while feeling truly seen.

I've spent the majority of my career working with teenagers and young adults. Since 2020, I've been working in a college mental health center, where I help students navigate the challenges of being in academics while also attending to the complexities of life. I love working with college students and witnessing the incredible change that can happen during this important time in life. When working together, I will always meet you where you're at, help you formulate your goals, and gently push you towards values-based living. I specialize in treating OCD and anxiety, including phobias and social anxiety. My hope is that I can help you find your voice and build confidence through my compassionate, down-to-earth therapy style. I also love to infuse creativity whenever possible to help deepen the therapeutic experience and foster self-reflection.
I provide my clients with telehealth (online) therapy so that we can meet their goals from the comfort of their home, or other easy to access and confidential location. I serve clients located in CT or MA at the time of their sessions.
We specialize in anxiety, OCD and depression in children, adolescents and adults using a combination of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). We offer individual therapy and group therapy focused on community support, psychoeducation, and skill development. Our clinicians are culturally informed, engage in cultural humility practices, and utilize a myriad of therapeutic approaches such as Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, and Trauma-informed care.
I invite you to “get curious” about yourself and what has contributed to your current state of being. Curiosity is essential to finding meaning and connection with others and ourselves. I will work with you to open up to uncertainty and learn to coexist with your uncomfortable feelings, rather than avoid them. You are not a problem to be fixed; you are a whole, complex, and amazing person; let’s unlock that potential. I believe theater and improvisation can be wonderful ways to stay present, take risks, explore parts of ourselves, and connect with ourselves and others. If appropriate, I will use my background in Drama Therapy to help you reach your goals. That being said, one approach does not fit everyone and I work from a wide range of modalities. I look forward to participating in this exploration with you and helping you reach your goals!

I consider the relationship between client and therapist one of the most important factors in therapy. As a therapist, my goal is to create a comfortable, non-judgmental space so I can assist others in exploring negative patterns in their lives and help them develop new tools to foster positive coping skills. I utilize a holistic approach to therapy, with special focus on the body and mind and how they interact. As a registered yoga teacher, my treatment approach places emphasis on turning inward and reconnecting with the body to help release stored emotions. I use a trauma-informed approach to life issues with clients and incorporate mindfulness skills, somatic movement, and breathwork into my therapy practice. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, PTSD, and mood disorders. Additionally, I work with clients who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, addiction, caregiver stress, interpersonal/relationship problems, and codependency.
Every person comes with a different story, and this means that therapy should not be a one size fits all experience. College can be a very exciting time, however it comes with a lot of changes. Realizing that you might need to take the next step and engage in therapy can be scary, but together we will set realistic goals in a non-judgemental and welcoming environment. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and general stressors that accompany college life. I also have extensive experience working with people who have experienced trauma. I believe we all have the ability to cope with difficult situations in our lives, but often need support in doing this. Our time together should feel beneficial and I encourage you to reach out to discuss if we are the right fit.
