Therapy can be a powerful step toward healing, I’m glad you’re here.
Do you feel stuck in the same routines, weighed down by stress, tough memories, or sudden feelings of anxiety or sadness? Are you trying to manage this on your own? Trying to handle this on your own can be exhausting, especially when it feels like nothing changes. Therapy offers a place where you’re understood, and your needs come first. We’ll work together to figure out what matters most to you, make sense of your experiences, and find practical ways to cope. You can start moving forward with more clarity, confidence, and ease, all at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Are you feeling stuck in negative thoughts, intense emotions, or behavioral patterns that don't serve your best interest? Are you facing academic, social, or behavioral issues at home or at school? Our life is a difficult journey at times. You don't have to do it alone. I'm here to help you focus on your life - where you've been, where you are now, and where you want to go. I'm here to join you on this journey to discover healing and build a balanced life. The goal is not to perfect or make problems go away, but rather to gain tools to help you deal with obstacles. Therapy should never be one size fits all. I approach each client as the unique individual that they are. I believe that therapy, through both our therapeutic relationship & collaborative work together, can be a very empowering & rewarding experience. My goal is to improve how you are feeling and functioning, offering both short and long-term therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings and my experience includes working with diverse populations and a variety of psychological difficulties.
I am here to support students coping with stress, anxiety, depression, executive functioning concerns, and life adjustments as they navigate their academics, any relationship challenges with family, friends, or intimate partners and overall life adjustments. I also am trained in working with the Perinatal population. It is an honor to support supports as they work on their goals for their future!
Eating disorders leave us feeling out of control, insecure, and unfulfilled. You may be fed up with constant restriction, over eating, or both; feeling disconnected and self-conscious about your body; or overwhelmed with strong feelings and unsure of how to manage them. You might not even remember a time when it didn’t feel this way. But one thing is for sure: you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to heal your relationship with food. You’re ready to feel better in your own skin. Most of all, you’re ready to feel empowered and confident to take control of your life. Clients come to me looking for a therapist who treats the whole person, not just the eating disorder. Sessions with me are comfortable and interactive. Together, we increase mindfulness of the root cause of the eating disorder, assess your personal values and goals, and help you find fulfillment in the life you want to live. And we always go at your pace. As an experienced eating disorder therapist, I believe that everyone has the inner wisdom they need to heal. I can help you access it. You don’t have to continue living with the eating disorder, and you don’t have to do it alone. Call me today for a free consultation. I can’t wait to hear from you.

I work with adults dealing with challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, stress, & executive dysfunction. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques to help you better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges and build on your strengths. As a queer, autistic/neurodivergent, & disabled therapist, I am especially passionate about supporting people within these communities in a way that is respectful, understanding, and empowering. I show up as my authentic self & work to create a space where you can feel safe, comfortable, & accepted. You are the expert on your own life, & my role is to support you as we explore what you need to heal, grow, & move forward.

If you're trying to break unhealthy patterns in your life—whether they are things you've learned from your family or habits you’ve noticed in how you treat yourself and others—you’re in the right place. As two first-generation Latina therapists, we understand how hard it can be to figure out what’s not working in your life and try to change it, especially if going to therapy isn't something that's normalized within your family or community. We know that the path you are on can feel isolated and overwhelming. Which is why we created Sin Miedo Counseling - to support cycle-breakers like you. We offer counseling that is warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental so you can feel that you have someone who has your back while you work towards the change you want to see in your life. If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or down, we can help by offering strategies to help you regulate your nervous system and challenge that inner critic who is telling you that you don't deserve joy or rest in your life. If you're nervous about starting counseling, that's okay. We got you and we'd be honored to join you in your journey.

A working machine is comprised of many cogs and gears that must interlock seamlessly in order to function. Our minds are not all that different. One faulty belief can throw our whole center off balance. That is why counseling can be beneficial. Gaining a new perspective is the same as getting a realignment. Counseling can be a life-altering journey as it offers a judgement-free atmosphere to explore our deepest fears, sorrows, and triumphs. The sharing of these experiences can open our minds up to new ideas and perspectives that we may be struggle to uncover on our own. Stephanie Hunt is a licensed mental health counselor practicing in the commonwealth of Massachusetts. Stephanie has a straight-forward but empathic approach to helping clients navigate through problems. She has extensive experience working in both individual and group settings. She also teaches undergraduate courses in human services and psychology. Stephanie's specialties include; depression, anxiety, identity issues, trauma and addiction. The bulk of her professional work has been focused on working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Cog in the Gears Counseling was founded to serve the mental health needs of the North Shore community and beyond. It is a space for those with a creative curiosity to ask themselves life's difficult questions and seek undiscovered answers from within.
