Measured Wellness is an evidence-based, outcomes-driven outpatient psychiatry clinic, staffed by Harvard-trained clinicians, offering Spravato (intranasal esketamine) and intramuscular ketamine injections for those who suffer with depression that has not responded to traditional antidepressants. The clinic was founded, and is currently run, by Dr. Brian W. Boyle, faculty in the McLean Hospital Neurotherapeutics Department and graduate of the MGH/McLean psychiatry residency program. Care begins with a thoughtful consultation to assess candidacy for these treatments.
Often, a significant source of suffering lies in thoughts and feelings that exist outside of our awareness and have not yet been able to find full expression. Psychotherapy offers the unusual opportunity to be listened to deeply and to learn to listen to ourselves in new ways. Exploring and developing insight into your inner life can lead to change—feeling better about yourself, shifting seemingly intractable patterns that have kept you stuck, and developing a greater sense of agency and fulfillment in your life. My practice provides a safe setting in which this exploration can unfold. I'll work collaboratively with you to help you make sense of distressing feelings and thoughts, gain insight into your experiences, and develop a more authentic relationship to yourself and to the world. I have advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and my work is influenced by psychoanalytic and trauma-informed approaches. I see adults and specialize in a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and relationship difficulties. With a warm, down-to-earth, supportive, and engaged style, I offer treatment for a wide range of issues such as: Depression Anxiety OCD Relationship difficulties Life transitions Grief and loss Academic and career concerns Creative blocks As an integrative therapist, my approach is customized to what works best for you. While I draw from a wide variety of treatment approaches, principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), humanistic therapy, and psychodynamic therapy will frequently inform the work we do together. We will always prioritize your needs over adherence to any specific treatment approach or theory.
I have been a licensed clinical psychologist since 1993 and have extensive I experience treating undergraduate and graduate students from Boston area universities for anxiety, depression, relationship, and eating-disorder issues. My therapeutic approach is broadly psychodynamic (focusing on thoughts and emotions) but with an active, problem-solving style. I see my clients both in-person and virtually by telehealth.
Lumin Health is a psychiatrist-led mental health organizations serving young adults who feel stuck with depression and anxiety despite efforts with traditional methods. We provide two evidence-based options: esketamine (Spravato) — an FDA-approved, insurance-covered treatment — and ketamine therapy delivered in a carefully monitored setting. Each session happens in a private room with vitals tracked, standard two-hour observation, and a ride-home requirement to keep you safe. You set the pace; our team provides steadiness. Access matters, especially for students and early-career adults. Spravato treatment is insurance-covered at Lumin Health; we accept Medicare and most major plans in Massachusetts (Aetna, Anthem, BCBS, Cigna, Evernorth, Harvard Pilgrim, Optum, Point32Health, Tufts, United Healthcare). Our team handles prior authorizations and coordination so you’re not navigating forms between classes or shifts. Out-of-pocket costs typically range from $10 to $25, which is meaningful when the treatment typically costs $500+. Care is local and predictable: clinics in Woburn, Brookline, Newton, and Cambridge Massachusetts, flexible scheduling, and collaborative communication with your current therapist or prescriber. That structure helps ketamine treatment fit real life — exams, internships, family demands — rather than the other way around. Many young adults describe ketamine for depression as creating a window where rumination eases and possibilities feel closer. Spravato and ketamine treatment don’t cure depression, but they may offer rapid relief for some and a safer way to do deeper work with psychotherapy or behavioral support. What matters most is what feels possible to you now. If you’re exploring ketamine therapy or Spravato, Lumin Health will meet you with clarity, agency, and insurance-savvy support.

I specialize in working with teens, college students, and young adults who are struggling to connect with their authentic selves. My clients often present with relational conflicts, low self-worth, anxiety, or attachment trauma. My approach is relaxed and relational, combining psychodynamic and strengths based methods to go beyond quick fixes to help clients identify root causes that may be limiting their personal growth or contributing to emotional distress. As a therapist, I believe that healing begins in the context of a safe, attuned relationship. I work with clients to build a deep and secure therapeutic connection - one rooted in trust and emotional safety. I have experience working in various mental health settings, including community mental health, hospitals, colleges, and alternative school placements. Above all, I’m human - both in and out of the therapy room. I show up as my full, authentic self, and I invite my clients to do the same. If you are seeking relational and supportive therapy, I would love to connect!
The Center for Effective Therapy is an outpatient center that focuses on short-term, high-quality evidence-based treatment. With locations in Boston and Waltham, we aim to provide families with the tools they need to succeed.
I really enjoy helping students navigate through their college experiences at all stages of college - from adjusting to being away from home for the first time to making and maintaining healthy relationships, and to making difficult decisions about which paths to take when their college experience comes to an end. In my practice I am experienced in treating students who have significant mental health concerns as well as students who are simply looking for some objective support to work through some transitions and day to day challenges.
I have worked with college students struggling with a wide range of difficulties and acuity over the past decade plus, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I have a casual yet professional style, and prioritize creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can increase awareness of their emotional and relational patterns. I pull from several orientations, including psychodynamic/relational, emotion-focused, CBT, acceptance-based, and compassion-based approaches in order to make sense of your difficulties with you and to identify ways to change, or as is the case in the many situations that we can’t change, learn to relate to it differently. My clients express appreciation for my transparent, collaborative, compassionate, and well-informed approach. I am interested and have experience in working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including racial and ethnic minorities. I try to understand clients in context and I seek to bring in societal issues and -isms to understand clients experiences in the world. I am open to talking about my own identity and position in society. I have openings for telehealth clients located in Massachusetts, NC, or any participating Psypact state. I accept Aetna in MA. I accept Aetna and BCBS in NC. Please email me if you would like to schedule a free initial call to answer any questions and assess whether we may be a good match.

Abby helps clients gently rebuild trust in their bodies, emotions, and inner wisdom while moving at a pace that honors their lived experience. Her approach is weight-inclusive and trauma-informed, blending EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned care. I approach each client with a wide angle view–considering all the factors that contribute to a client’s presenting concerns. For those interested in traditional psychotherapy, I draw from 20+ years of experience using a range of therapeutic interventions (psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness focused) to offer individual and parent support services. In recent years I have been expanding my expertise and services to include other holistic modalities, specifically biofield tuning, which has allowed options for using sound and energy focused work to address emotional issues. For interested clients, I weave together the benefits of psychotherapy with biofield tuning to create a unique healing experience.
You feel anxious and it’s hard to shut your brain off. People tell you to relax, but it’s not that easy for you. You’ve worked hard to get where you are, but it’s hard to sit back and enjoy it. Your standards for yourself feel too high, and you question how long you can keep this up. You tend to doubt yourself and your abilities and look to other people to reassure you. It’s hard to take up space, feel confident, and speak your truth. You want to feel present in your life and like you’re able to love and appreciate yourself just as you are. You want to feel confident, courageous, and like you are able to advocate for yourself. You want to feel happy, calm, and at peace with your life, your relationships, and your career. I specialize in working with young adults with anxiety, people-pleasing tendencies, imposter syndrome, and perfectionism to build self-confidence and live a life they love. A better future is possible, and I'm here to help you create it. I can’t wait to hear from you, send me an email or call me to schedule a free phone consultation.
Therapy helps people explore and experience both rough and celebrating moments, and I am with clients through this journey. My practice centers around creating a safe, non-judgmental space where anyone can reconnect with their inner strengths, as well as using skills from evidence-based practices. Through my experience of working with people from different backgrounds, I've developed deep trust in each individual's capacity for growth and self-direction. My work focuses on helping clients uncover their authentic motivations and cultivate confidence in their decision-making abilities. As an individual who comes from a different cultural and language background, I was able to connect with many who have similar struggles. I provide therapy to people aged from 13 to 40, using person-centered therapy paired with CBT/DBT, in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
WIth over 25 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker, I have enjoyed working with young adults as they navigate many of life’s transitions. Listening to the stories of many students as they begin college or new chapters, I am aware of the “noise” that often contributes to self doubt and confusion. I specialize in navigating these challenges that often come with life transitions: the excitement as well as the uncertainty, anxiety, sadness and fears. I love to partner with college students to help reframe some of the thinking that leads to feeling stuck and feeling anxious. I support clients to trust and grow their inner resources and resilience while navigating the challenges as they face and transition to new life phases. Through a blend of empathy, active listening and evidence based techniques, I work to create a supportive space where clients can feel heard and they can safely explore their identities and feelings, manage stressors and develop coping strategies to thrive in a world that often feels unsettled.
