Therapists for college students near Boston, MA
Are you having difficulty adjusting to school? Away from home for the first time? Looking towards the future when you will have graduated and are out on your own? Wondering who you are and who you want to be? Facing so many changes and transitions at once can be completely overwhelming, even on the best of days. Sometimes it really helps to talk with a neutral person who can understand the pressure you are under, but who is not in your immediate circle. I specialize in supporting people who are facing transitions in their lives, especially when this feels overwhelming or intimidating. My practice is open and affirming to people of all ages, genders, sexual identities, ethnic backgrounds, and spiritual beliefs.
I am well versed in the transition from high school to college. I am familiar with college expectations, the challenges of making new friends, and learning how to be independent. College can be such an exciting time but also really hard! It is so important to learn strategies to manage stress and having a safe place to talk about whatever you need.
Our therapeutic connection is the most important part of your healing process. In order to build that trusting partnership you must be given the space to tell your own story at your own pace. I provide an inclusive, welcoming, supportive environment where we will identify your personal strengths and goals together. Through reflective listening, insight and educated feedback we will build upon the skills you already possess to create a restorative path to your healing. I have extensive experience working with teens, young adults and adults to overcome obstacles. I utilize principles of DBT, trauma informed care and strength based therapy to promote healing. Take a moment with me to catch your breath, find your voice and begin to reveal a better version of yourself. I am honored to begin this journey with you.

You might feel stuck—questioning your identity, struggling in relationships, or carrying anxiety and self-doubt that won’t quiet down. Maybe you’re moving through a big life change or just tired of feeling like you have to hide parts of yourself to be accepted. My clients often want clarity, relief, and a more honest connection to themselves and others. As a non-binary therapist, I understand how deeply the therapist’s identity can shape the therapy space—and how important it is to feel seen. I also bring a feminist perspective to help make sense of how social and cultural systems impact your lived experience. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in MA, VT, and FL, I support adults facing anxiety, depression, identity conflict, and relationship struggles. My specialty is interpersonal psychotherapy, and I bring a holistic, adaptable approach to each session—offering clarity, insight, and a space where you can better understand yourself and your connections. I offer a safe, affirming space where you can show up fully and honestly. My approach supports you in developing practical, realistic coping tools while deepening your understanding of yourself. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more aligned with the person you want to be—grounded, capable, and true to yourself.
Many people I work with describe their struggles with self-doubt, persistent worries, irrational fears, and "overthinking" tendencies, saying that they second-guess themselves and struggle to quiet their anxious thoughts. Often, these struggles are a result of past traumatic events that have shaped how the brain perceives the world. Other times, these struggles may trace back to unhelpful messaging from outside sources, which can result in learned behaviors, patterns, and ways of thinking that promote anxiety, worry, and shame. I use modalities such as EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, and CBT to support clients with these struggles. Therapy can support us to uncover and understand the impacts that traumas and other past events have on how we navigate the world. This awareness, coupled with therapeutic interventions, can support us to heal from past hardships and make changes to the learned survival techniques that are no longer serving us. Those who work with me describe me as compassionate, accepting, and interactive in my approach, and I strive to create a comfortable and judgment-free environment for my clients. I offer online scheduling, specialized, evidence-based approaches, and brief, no-cost phone consultations. I encourage you to reach out to see if working together may be a good fit!
Whether you're working through past traumas, seeking clarity amidst life's transitions, or desiring deeper connections, you deserve a therapeutic experience that genuinely resonates with you. As your therapist, my goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where we can collaborate to improve your mental well-being, enrich your relationships, and uncover greater purpose and joy in your life. I specialize in working with young adults and individuals navigating transitions through client-centered and solution-focused methods. My practice integrates DBT and art therapy, offering a blend of talk and creative therapies. This flexible approach allows us to tailor sessions to your individual needs, fostering a supportive environment to address your unique challenges.
Going to a new therapist can be a bit stressful; what will they be like, will they understand me or really be able to help? I often get college students who have tried therapy before and it just didn't work, they do well with me. I use CBT; cognitive behavioral therapy style, give open and honest feedback (don't sit and nod) and have a sense of humor. Graduated from Northeastern, I have been doing this awhile and have some ways of problem solving and really helping. We celebrate your wins and support what you need to be successful. I am always thankful to be invited into your lives to help. This is your journey.
Shoreline Wellness Center places a focus on talk therapy (psychotherapy) to help patients better manage the stress they encounter in their daily life. Working with a therapist has many benefits, such as coping with feelings, facing and solving problems, or changing behavioral patterns that are leading to some of your symptoms. In therapy, we don’t just talk about problems. The main goal is to develop a reasonable and doable solution. Sometimes you may have “homework” to complete for your therapist. This may include something like tracking your moods throughout the day, journaling about your thoughts, going out of your way to be social, or joining in activities that caused you to feel anxious in the past. Your therapist may even suggest for you to try to look at things differently or to learn new skills to use in your everyday life. Therapy focuses on current and past thoughts, feelings, and issues. Both are important, as they may very well be connected in some way. Discussing your challenges and having an open dialogue is the key to finding the solution to help your present and prepare for your future.

I specialize in helping people navigate the new onset of bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, or mood changes, and I also work with those managing ongoing or chronic challenges. If you’re ready for change and want a therapist who truly understands how these challenges affect work, relationships, and everyday life, I’m here to walk alongside you. Welcome, as it takes courage for us to ask for help from others and seek therapy. I am here to tell you that it is okay to ask for help and seeking a professional therapist is the first step in your journey. Life is hard at times, with a multitude of life transitions, from graduating from high school to finishing college, starting a new job, or having feelings of being stuck either personally and/or professionally. Life is not an easy road to travel, but as we travel through different life challenges, sometimes we need help from others and it’s okay to seek help. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is very passionate about the mental health field and each client I have had the pleasure of working with. I am very respectful of everyone’s journey and believe respect, compassion, and sensitivity are very important in building and maintaining a healthy therapeutic relationship. I have experience with working with clients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, stress and major life transitions, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, ADHD symptoms, mood disorders, parent-child relationship issues, behavioral problems, parenting techniques, and grief/loss. My therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I utilize different therapeutic techniques to assist my clients, which ensures each client has a personalized treatment plan. When working with my clients, I like to build a strong therapeutic rapport to gather a clear understanding of the client’s needs, goals they want to work on and/or issues they want to address in therapy, barriers to progression in therapy, and objectives to reach their therapeutic goals. My philosophy in working with each client is that I am here to help you. I hope to work with you, helping you understand where you are in the process of change, motivating you to move towards the next stage, assisting you throughout the therapeutic process, and we move at your pace. The client’s progression in the therapeutic process is to understand and acknowledge that, to a large degree, a successful treatment outcome depends on the amount of energy and effort the client makes. I will always have an open and honest line of communication with clients and be empathetic and very respectful. I look forward to working with you!
