Ginnelle Vasquez, MSW, LICSW (she/her) Hello, I'm Ginnelle Vasquez, a licensed therapist with 6 years of experience. Currently offering short term therapy (4-8 weeks). dedicated to supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive function difficulties, and adjustment issues. I specialize in understanding how these challenges can impact academic stress and overall well-being. My therapeutic approach is rooted in positive psychology and strength-based methods. I believe in the importance of listening to your personal experiences and collaborating with you to create a tailored plan that empowers you to use self-advocacy skills. Together, we will identify and harness your strengths, allowing you to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience. I am committed to providing a compassionate and supportive space where you can explore your feelings, develop effective coping strategies, and work towards a healthier, more balanced life to enhance your well-being.
We provide outpatient trauma-focused psychotherapy and mind-body wellness counseling for youth, adults, couples and families who have been impacted by interpersonal trauma, loss, social oppression and other forms of life adversity. We recognize that exposure to trauma is a pervasive reality in our world. We pay careful attention to the wide range of historical experiences that contribute to ongoing distress in those we serve. We understand our clients’ struggles through the lens of complex trauma, with the belief that individuals are shaped most profoundly by their earliest and closest relationships. When those relationships have been fraught with chronic adversity – whether due to maltreatment and neglect, poverty and discrimination, or the legacy of intergenerational or ancestral trauma – it can alter the course of healthy human development in profound ways. One’s emotions, self-worth, behaviors, and overall functioning can be deeply impacted. One’s relationships, schooling, and occupation may suffer. One’s goals and dreams, spiritual direction and overall life path can get derailed. In the same breath, we honor the resilience of the human spirit, and marvel at the capacity of every person to survive, heal, persevere and ultimately thrive despite seemingly overwhelming obstacles.
People often find themselves looking for a therapist when their suffering becomes overwhelming or when their lives shift in a way that is difficult to adjust to. We can work together to help you get through stuck places and develop creative solutions that work for you. My approach is collaborative, warm and empathic, and my priority is to support you in connecting with people, ideas, and resources that will support your efforts to live a satisfying and meaningful life.

The college years can be some of the most overwhelming — academic pressure, perfectionism, anxiety, homesickness, identity shifts, and the weight of major transitions, often layered on top of experiences you carried here long before. Whatever you're navigating, I'll meet you with directness, honesty, and genuine warmth — and there will likely be some laughter along the way. We'll work toward your goals as a team, with care tailored to you and shaped by an understanding that your background, identity, and lived experience matter deeply. This is a space space, and all are welcome here. I commonly work with students navigating: - Anxiety and perfectionism - Depression - Trauma and past experiences - Chronic illness and chronic pain - Homesickness and life transitions - Identity and self-worth Therapy with me is supportive and nonjudgmental — and direct. Expect to be gently challenged. Together we'll work on dismantling negative core beliefs, shifting unhelpful thought patterns, building healthy boundaries, and finding coping skills that actually fit your life . Our first session is about you. I'll walk you through what to expect and your rights as a client, and you'll have space to ask questions. Building trust and rapport makes the work possible — so we'll begin laying that foundation while I gather some important background. My goal is that when you leave, you feel heard, understood, and genuinely hopeful that growth is possible.

Finding a safe, supportive, and comfortable place are just some aspects of the therapist search. I welcome clients to meet with me to decide if my services fit their particular areas of concern. I try to provide a warm, safe and open environment with my clients and believe in a collaborative approach to help find resolution and a better understanding of yourself.
