I would like to provide you with some information to help you determine if my practice might be a good fit for your needs. First, I am not able to accept insurance at this time. I do bill as an out of network provider for patients with PPO plans. I am hoping to in the future start taking Blue Cross Blue Shield, though this may be several months from now. Services & rates: • 80-minute Initial consultation appointment: $400 • 50-minute Goal-oriented psychotherapy appointment: $250 • 30-minute Psychopharmacology with supportive psychotherapy follow up appointment: $175 The psychotherapy that I practice is 10-12 week problem focused psychotherapy that uses skills from CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic principles with the goal of helping clients make intentional and measurable changes in their lives. My practice focuses on helping individuals with acute mild to moderate mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and those with life stressors. Due to my limited office hours, I am not equipped to treat conditions that could require urgent and immediate care; importantly, I do not treat chronic or treatment-resistant resistant mood disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, addictions, severe eating disorders, ongoing suicidality, or major neurocognitive disorders. If you do suffer from such conditions, I recommend seeking care through a health system that offers more services suited to treat your illness. Please let me know if you are interested in the practice. Once I hear from you, the next step is for you to fill out a pre-screen questionnaire. Please note that filling out this questionnaire does not guarantee an appointment. This is an initial way to ensure my practice is a good fit for your needs.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Cambridge, MA

I am an experienced psychotherapist (LICSW) and Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP) working with individuals, couples and groups. I hold a PhD in biochemistry, which informs my work in psychotherapy by integrating current research in neurobiology into my treatment approach. I believe in the resilience of every human being and work to capitalize on the best in people I work with. I specialize in attachment trauma, loss, relationship issues, challenging life transitions and the negative coping styles that often accompany them. I am trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an emotionally focused therapy heavily informed by neurobiology and how we heal relationally as social beings. Alongside of understanding you through your relationships and life experiences, we will highlight new experiences and positive change that will help you reach your goals. For more about AEDP go to www.AEDPInstitute.org. My broader training consists of proactive cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness techniques, stress reduction strategies, and relational and communication tools. My goal in working with you is to actively move you toward your goals. I run relationship groups for people who struggle with relationship issues. Please see my website for further information. My practice is LGBTQ welcoming and multiculturally informed.

I do my best work with LGBTQ folks who are in the midst of a big change or transition in their life, and who are looking for a safe and supportive place to both explore, and be challenged to initiate change. My expertise is in helping individuals and couples navigate a range of life experiences including: the coming out process, the transition to college, young adult identity exploration, difficulties in long-term relationships, and difficulties with family dynamics. As a queer-identifying person myself, I understand the unique complexities you may face at each of these phases and I have spent my career learning to effectively guide you through these important and challenging times. My clients describe me as warm, compassionate, and supportive. I try to incorporate humor wherever we can. My style is a blend of both working to address current challenges as well as the roots of those challenges in order to have the most effective and lasting impact. If you’re ready to take the first step towards more self-understanding and more fulfillment in your life, please get in touch! It would be my honor to help.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Cambridge, MA

With over 10 years of experience, I feel deeply honored by the trust clients place in me when they open their hearts and share their inner world. I have experience with trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and relational problems. My passion for working with diverse populations led me to pursue the Global Mental Health: Immigration and Trauma Certificate from Harvard University. I strive to see my clients beyond their diagnoses and to raise awareness of the societal and cultural challenges that may prevent them from fulfilling their true potential I work best with high-achieving individuals who may appear successful outwardly but feel overwhelmed or uncertain internally. Many of my clients are immigrants or from multicultural backgrounds, navigating identity, belonging, and the pressures of academic or professional life, while also seeking to align their success with deeper meaning, purpose, and spirit

Do you feel overwhelmed when facing life's obstacles? Have you tried to find ways to help yourself, but things have not improved, no matter what you do? Therapy can help you find new ways of dealing with life's challenges that have become too much to handle alone. Every person has a reservoir of strength inside. Through compassionate, supportive therapy, you can connect to your strengths to develop new ways of dealing with problems and complicated feelings, relationships, and transitions. I work with clients to understand the causes of their pain and difficulties. I offer different approaches to developing an effective strategy for internal and external struggles. I combine concrete skills for managing daily stressors with a process of self-understanding to achieve more profound long-term change. I am a licensed clinical social worker with extensive training in trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and internal family systems (IFS). I also use EMDR modality for some specific processing work. I have experience in providing therapy to people from diverse backgrounds - race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and more.
