I work best with clients who may appear to have it together on the outside while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted. Many are navigating trauma, OCD, mood changes, identity exploration, or relationship stress. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients and those looking for an authentic, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to better understand themselves and heal.
You're studying nursing because you want to make a difference in the world. But it doesn't feel like you thought it would. You are faced with challenges in clinical that were never talked about in the classroom. By the end of the day, you're numb and exhausted. You spend your nights looking up how to transfer to a different major. You are spending your weekends watching the same show on repeat and wondering if this is really the college experience everyone talks about. Therapy designed specifically for nursing students focuses on creating a restorative space where you can finally slow down and process the emotions you push aside to make it through the day. We will talk about how to maintain self-care and balance while you study one of the hardest majors and learn the coping tools and boundaries needed to support ongoing success in your profession. I view the therapeutic relationship as similar to canoeing - it requires you to provide the steering, while I supply the momentum, and motivation and commitment from both of us to get to the destination. In our work together, I believe in giving you space to explore your story, as it was, as it is, as you want it to be, in a safe, supportive, empowering way that will, in time, allow you to feel confident and secure within your mind, body, and relationships. Within my practice, I utilize eco-therapy as a means to build an objective, curious, and comfortable relationship with the physical world around us, in order to practice building that same relationship within ourselves and with the people around us. It can feel so easy to get swept up in judgemental, shame-based thoughts, creating false perceptions, emotional pain and isolation. And yet, in the same way we prepare for cold winter nights or sweltering summer heat, so too can we weather the storms of our social and emotional worlds. To orient our work towards achieving your therapeutic goals, I work with Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, existential therapy, somatic therapy, animal therapy, ecotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, CBT and mindfulness practices. Utilizing this interdisciplinary blend we can identify and work through the obstacles to then find ways to move forward and love yourself into creating your ideal reality. I accept individuals, couples and families of all genders, identities, religions, and backgrounds. With a client-centered approach I believe you are the greatest expert of your own life, and in order to effectively row this canoe I ask for trust, honesty, commitment, curiosity, and engagement, so I, in return, will provide compassion, patience, knowledge, and reflection.
Do you ever find yourself thinking “How did I get here, and how do I escape this doom loop?" If you see a pattern of feeling overwhelmed, unseen, or misunderstood, you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve forgotten what it feels like to not be exhausted or in survival mode? Healing and peace are within reach, and I can help you find them. Patients say I’ve empowered them to see themselves in a new light, uncovering their strengths and potential. I focus on practical, personalized strategies for meaningful change while doing the "root work" to address underlying issues. Whether it's coping mechanisms or trauma roots, we’ll tackle it together. I specialize in helping people find clarity, control, and lasting peace in life. Sessions with me provide a safe and supportive place to explore, validate, and heal. Whether it's ADHD, trauma, family or relationship issues that brought you here or even all of the above and more, I can guide, support, and show up for you on your journey to the life you deserve. I know managing everything alone can feel overwhelming and that change and healing often seem impossible. But I also know they are within your reach. "Hope" might feel like a scary investment, but it’s one that promises lifetime returns when you commit to the journey. Take the first step and reach out; together, we’ll do the rest.
We know that searching for a therapist can be one of the most difficult parts of coping, healing, and self-empowerment, because it's the first thing you must do. You must force yourself out of your comfort zone and out of whatever routine you've had before, to take the initiative and embark on a new path. When we're at our best, stepping out of our comfort zones can be daunting; when we're feeling vulnerable, it can seem nearly impossible. No matter what prompted you to take this first step, we'd like to be there for your second. Our clinicians focus on creating an empathic environment where you feel safe and relaxed, and where we can use every tool available to brighten your present and empower your future.

I’m passionate about helping people work through anxiety, depression, cope with loss, and embrace their authentic selves. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and strength-based therapy, helping you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck while drawing on your natural resilience and inner strengths. I’m especially passionate about supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community, offering an inclusive environment where all identities are welcomed and respected. I’m a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS) dedicated to helping individuals navigate grief, loss, and major life transitions with compassion and care. Using the TEAR Model—which focuses on Telling your story, Experiencing the pain, Adjusting to life without your loved one, and Reinvesting in new relationships and goals. Whether you’re coping with the death of a loved one, exploring your identity, or adjusting to a new stage of life, I offer a safe and affirming space where your story is honored and your healing can unfold. Together, we’ll work toward healing, balance, and renewed meaning—at your pace and in your own way.
I'm a LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) and work with clients experiencing stress, difficulties adjusting to major life changes, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and/or family dynamic issues. I take a client-centered, strength-based approach to helping clients navigate through their identified difficulties. I strongly value the client/therapist relationship and work to create an empathic, calm, accepting and safe environment for all my clients.
Center Psychotherapy is a group mental health practice located in Winchester and Arlington, Massachusetts that specializes in trauma treatment. We are committed to providing quality and expert mental health treatment using a humanist, client-centered approach to therapy. Our clinicians recognize that successful treatment varies with individual needs, strengths, and personal client preferences. We strive to work with you to develop treatment plans and therapeutic interventions that recognize strengths, not just symptom expression.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist providing virtual therapy, bringing over fifteen years of experience in diverse settings, including outpatient care (both in-person and virtual), middle schools, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential programs, Section 35 commitment facilities, and emergency psychiatric assessments in various environments. I have had the privilege of counseling individuals across the gender spectrum—from ages ten to eighty—addressing a wide range of concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, adjustment disorders, substance use, co-occurring disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and psychotic disorders. My approach to therapy is collaborative and interactive, grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth and healing. While I bring extensive training and experience in a variety of evidence-based treatment models, I recognize that true progress comes from a strong and trusting connection between therapist and client. Using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, I strive to help my clients deepen their self-awareness, cultivate positive self-regard, and develop a sense of balance within themselves and their lives. I view therapy as a partnership—one in which we work together to identify and shift harmful patterns, fostering healthier ways of coping and communicating. Through this process, we explore the experiences that have shaped who you are, creating space for growth and transformation. My therapeutic style is eclectic, incorporating psychodynamic principles, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and other evidence-based strategies tailored to each individual’s needs. My clients will often give me feedback they feel genuinely cared for in our therapeutic relationship. Often, clients will report that they were able to connect with me quickly and expressed surprise that they opened up as much to me, sometimes stating “that’s the first time I’ve ever told anybody that”. Though our work can be challenging, we work at a pace you are comfortable with and I will respect your boundaries.
Making the decision to come to therapy can be a powerful one. I support individuals navigating the various pressures and stresses in their lives. I specialize in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and perfectionism. In session, clients feel a space free of judgment where they can reconnect with their authentic selves. With that in mind, I approach sessions in a collaborative way with the hopes of building self-esteem and personal agency. In our sessions, you'll feel like you're part of a team and not up against the problem alone. I also help college students, young working professionals, and athletes manage all that comes with being in a high-pressured environment. My own experience as a collegiate athlete taught me the values of teamwork, resilience, and overcoming anxiety and self-doubt-- all qualities I aim to pass along to my clients. For all clients, mindfulness may be an important part of our work. I bring in tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well as traditional talk therapy to help you establish healthy boundaries, control overwhelming emotions, and stay grounded in the present moment. I also have a special interest in working with athletes transitioning to life after their sports career. My training as a yoga teacher helps me to deeply understand the mind-body connection, and how identity can get tied up athletic performance. I’ll help you develop a new daily routine, find meaningful ways to incorporate exercise at a lower level, manage fluctuating mood, and develop strong relationships outside of sports. Our sessions will feel like you are supported in taking action steps in your life. I am here to listen and provide accountability with changes you are hoping to make in your life.
