I believe we don’t have to be defined by our past, but much of our past may be constraining us from who we can and want to be. You only know what you know, and allowing yourself the space, time, and freedom to redefine what that means for you can help you live a life you are meant, deserve, and worth living. I would be honored to be invited into that space with you.
I have in-person openings if telehealth is not your vibe! Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and your story deserves to be heard at your pace. I provide a person-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration, compassion, and empowerment. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you move through life’s challenges with resilience, clarity, and hope for the future. I am passionate about working with college students, adults, and couples. Together, we can focus on emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and boundary-setting while creating a safe space for healing and growth. I am in-network with BCBS, Priority Health, Medicaid and more. We also have billing services that handle benefits and claims. We have an "Ability to Pay" sliding scale for all cash pay clients and couples. Please reach out with any questions, we're happy to work with you to keep therapy affordable.

“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying ‘I will try again tomorrow.'” – Mary Anne Radmacher Hello, I am Katelyn. My therapeutic approach strives to create a safe, warm, validating, and non-judgmental atmosphere. As a therapist, I hold space to explore and express thoughts, emotions, experiences, and authentic sense of self. Life is difficult, and my goal is to meet you where you are throughout its challenges and journeys. I am interested in understanding your goals, values, and needs, and together, we can create a plan for our therapeutic journey together. I emphasize factors of culture, identity, and lived experiences in order to gain a holistic understanding of you as a person. I received my Master’s in Social Work from The University of Michigan in 2024. During grad school, I worked with folks exploring gender identity, sexual identity, and processing mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression. Additionally, I have a passion working with folks who have experienced the impact of trauma and PTSD by helping them create a personal sense of empowerment. I can be found spending my free time with my cat (Luna), reading, finding the best coffee shops around town, and watching Michigan football (Go Blue!).

Welcome to New Beginnings Therapy and Consulting Services, PLLC. My ideal client is someone Who is committed to self-improvement and one who is invested in themselves. I work from a holistic perspective. I believe that we are three-part beings (body, mind and spirit) and each of these domains are impacted by the other and may be perpetuated by physical, social and environmental/cultural factors, rather than mental factors alone. I view all people as capable of change and that they can improve their mental and emotional health with the help of a skilled therapist. When you choose me as your therapist you will receive supportive, empathetic, empowering and collaborative care.
Many of the students I see are going through a tough or confusing time. You might feel overwhelmed by classes, pressure to succeed, or uncertainty about your future. Maybe you're dealing with anxiety, burnout, past trauma, or experiences that still affect how you feel or relate to others. Some feel emotionally stuck, isolated, or caught in patterns they want to change — including around substance use. You don’t need to have it all figured out. If you’re looking for a space where you can be yourself, talk honestly, and feel supported without judgment, therapy can help.
