Sinclair's Safe Space, PLLC
I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety and childhood trauma. I have clinical experience across crisis intervention, substance use treatment, and outpatient therapy settings, working with individuals experiencing acute distress as well as ongoing mental health concerns. My approach is grounded in the belief that unresolved trauma can significantly influence emotional regulation, self-concept, and interpersonal functioning. Clients often seek treatment when they feel “stuck,” overwhelmed, or notice persistent patterns related to past experiences that interfere with daily functioning, relationships, or goal attainment. I provide a supportive, structured therapeutic environment where clients can explore these concerns, develop insight, and work toward sustainable change. I utilize evidence-based modalities including Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Treatment focuses on increasing self-awareness, processing traumatic experiences, addressing maladaptive thought and behavior patterns, and strengthening coping skills. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to each client’s clinical needs and treatment goals. I welcome individuals seeking to engage in therapy to address anxiety, trauma-related concerns, and personal growth.

BASE Cognitive Behavioral is a specialist practice that focuses on evidence based treatment for a range of mental health needs. In my own approach, I have seen time and time again that each person is doing the very best they can to survive difficult life experiences. We each develop ways of coping with our world, but often get caught up in our own internal struggle to push away feelings of depression, anxiety, or self-doubt. My passion is helping people drop this “struggle” with themselves through a groundwork of validation, empathy, and mindful awareness. It is my hope that my clients and I can work through painful emotions, towards understanding what brings each person meaning and move towards valued living. I find that a framework of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and various coping skills can support my client in developing a flexible range of ways to approach difficult emotions and life situations. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.

I will help you in increasing your self-understanding, communicating your needs, identifying your strengths, and working through the roadblocks of life. Ready to take the first step? Hello. I think the most important element of a successful client / therapist relationship is one of safety. A place where you can say and talk about things you may never have said before. I believe that because having experienced that myself is what lead me to this field as well. As a college student you are entering one of the most exciting and yet unfamiliar times of your life. There are so many opportunities yet with that comes potential obstacles. This is the time in your life where you truly begin to explore and define who you are. Your are faced with many choices that either bring you closer to your goal or move you away from it. Technology puts so much at our fingertips and sometimes that can be a obstacle in itself. Many of the very things that you enjoy about college life can become compulsive or even addictive. Think alcohol, drugs, pornography, and sex to name a few.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges and PTSD. I use trauma-informed therapy approaches; such as, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which helps the brain effectively digest past and recent traumatic memories, and Internal Family Systems which compassionately guides you toward building harmony in your inner world.

As social beings, people need the contact and acceptance of other people. It is not uncommon for people to experience things that disrupt or unravel their lives, and they feel they have no one to turn to who understands or accepts them. Whether this experience is anxiety, depression, stress, life changes, or trauma, my passion is to help individuals find healthy ways of coping and processing the events in their lives. As well as helping people connect with others in more meaningful ways. As everyone is different, I feel there is no single therapeutic approach that works for everyone. Because of this, I have sought training in multiple therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My educational background includes an M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. My Clinical internship was spent in a substance abuse/mental health facility in South Florida, where I worked with military and veteran clients. Before my degree, I enlisted in the United States Airforce and was trained as a Medical Technician/EMT.
House of Sparrow Counseling
Emily Dickinson wrote, “Hope is the thing with feathers,” comparing hope to a bird, noting that even something small, sometimes unseen, holds power that can bring you through hardships. Sparrows carry symbolism across many cultures, described to be a representation of resilience, joy, freedom, hope, and community. Here at House of Sparrow we want you to know that you are seen, you are valuable, and that you carry more strength than you know.
