Let’s be honest. Underneath that polished veneer, the cracks are starting to show. You’ve tried handling them yourself, because that’s who you are – independent, resourceful, and always able to take care of yourself. But the spackle is breaking. Who are you if not that characterization of success, living up to the expectations set by your parents, friends, and middle school basketball coach? Maybe those cracks are the result of you running full speed against a wall, again and again. If you’re ready to find another way around the wall, I'm your person. Let’s be honest. You have the strength and agency to shape what comes next, even when the past feels heavy and the path forward feels unclear. If you're feeling overwhelmed, unsure of where to begin, or simply longing for a change, you're not alone. Therapy is a space where you can be deeply seen, heard, and supported, and I believe it should feel that way from the very first session. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma-informed therapy, grief, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and deeper insight-oriented work for adolescents, young adults, and adults. Many of the people I work with feel emotionally overwhelmed or stuck in patterns that are hard to break – racing thoughts, relationship difficulties, unresolved pain, and intense emotions interfering with daily life in ways that feel isolating and exhausting. Whether you're navigating mood changes, grief, family conflict, burnout, identity concerns, or trauma-related experiences, you deserve warm, grounded support that helps you better understand yourself, feel safe exploring difficult emotions, and develop healthier ways of coping. Together, we'll work toward greater insight, emotional resilience, and self-trust at a pace that feels authentic and manageable for you. Integrating psychodynamic and humanistic therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques, I support both practical coping and meaningful emotional healing with compassion, collaboration, and authenticity. My goal as your engaged and emotionally attuned partner is to help you gain insight into the underlying patterns driving your distress, while empowering you to build lasting change and stronger relationships with yourself and others. In our sessions, you can expect a warm, curious, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel genuinely seen and heard. Insight-oriented exploration works alongside practical coping tools to help you better understand your emotions, process difficult experiences, and move through life with greater emotional flexibility and resilience. Treatment is tailored to your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences, because no two people, and no two paths forward, are exactly alike. A deep interest in understanding emotional suffering, relationships, and the ways early experiences shape our sense of self led me to this work. Through years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and couples navigating complex emotional and relational challenges, a strong commitment to trauma-informed, compassionate care has become the foundation of everything I do. Warmth, authenticity, curiosity, and deep emotional presence are what I bring into the therapy space now, because meaningful healing requires feeling safe enough to explore, process, and grow. Reading, gardening, cooking, spending time outdoors, and caring for animals are all things that bring me genuine joy and keep me grounded. Creativity, reflection, and meaningful connection are values I hold closely, and they naturally shape the thoughtful, compassionate approach I carry into my clinical work.

We are a team of therapists who work with students and young adults navigating stress, identity, and the feeling of having to hold everything together. Many of the students we support are balancing different expectations from family, culture, and their own goals. Some feel caught between different worlds, while others find themselves overthinking, second-guessing, or feeling disconnected from who they are. As a team, we are especially attuned to the experiences of students from multicultural, international, and Asian or Asian American backgrounds. We understand how identity, family dynamics, and expectations can shape the way you move through the world. In this Kind Space, your voice is valued, your story is honored, and every part of you is welcomed. Together, we work to uncover what matters most, address challenges in a way that feels authentic, and build strategies that help you feel grounded, empowered, and more connected to yourself.
Are you a creative person with high aspirations experiencing procrastination, perfectionism, and a hostile inner critic? Do you want to feel more free in your work or your relationships? Do you feel anxious or depressed and want to obsess less and laugh more? We will think together to figure out why you feel stuck, and how you will transform. We will collaborate to your unique strengths, using an eclectic approach. I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in the state of New York and received my Master's Degree from New York University in drama therapy. I completed post-graduate psychotherapy training at the Institute for Developmental Transformations, where I also served as Associate Training Director for three years. I worked at the School of Visual Arts as a psychotherapist and for 9 years worked at Bellevue Hospital in the department of psychiatry. I utilize empirically supported and embodied creative approaches to psychotherapy including Attachment Focused EMDR (completed levels 1 -3). I believe we should all be free to love who we love, to identify in whatever way feels most natural to us, and I am honored to hold space for anyone who is questioning what is "right" for them. I am fortunate to have worked with individuals from many continents. I strive to be aware of the power and privilege I have in the therapy space. I invite dialogue and play for exploring issues of cultural identity, race, class, trauma and abuse of power. I am an out-of-network provider for Wellfleet-Cigna (SVA, NYU, Cooper Union, Sarah Lawrence, etc.) and submit the paperwork on client's behalf.

I enjoy working with college students. It is so much wiser to try and get hold of whatever issues you are struggling with earlier in life, rather than later, as problems can repeat themselves and really become entrenched, causing you pain and needless suffering. In addition, opening yourself to another person and focusing on what hurts often takes courage. My college age patients are often dealing with relationship changes, a changing sense of personal identity (sexual or in terms of sense of who I am or who I am becoming), concerns about study pressures or dynamics within friend groups or the dorm. Issues with your family at home can also be bothering you. Whatever your needs, I am comfortable defining exactly what they are, working with you to figure out what you need, and doing my best to get you on your way feeling that you've been helped and you possess the tools to keep going with confidence.
As a mental health counselor dedicated to helping patients cultivate clarity and confidence, I specialize in treating children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. My goal is to help you navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, life transitions, and/or identity explorations so you live your life fully and authentically. I believe that you are the expert on your life and that everyone is capable of growth and change, which helps me be a supportive and motivational partner to you in the therapy room. I look forward to being a part of your transformative growth in our work together. I’m passionate about helping you know yourself better, increase your psychological flexibility, and find your inner strength. We achieve this together in a collaborative and empathetic environment that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to guide you in identifying and understanding your core beliefs and patterns, and becoming aware of how these are serving or not serving you. My style is eclectic, collaborative, and person-centered so that care is tailored to your unique needs. My career began with the desire to be a teacher, a path that inspired me to help people learn more about themselves and how to interact with the world around them, not just within school subjects. This experience, along with time spent working with children, adolescents, and families who are or who have been involved in the legal, justice, and child welfare systems, led me to pursue counseling. In my role now as a therapist, I’m committed to using the knowledge and wisdom gained throughout my journey by providing evidence-based mental health care that meets people where they’re at through warmth and humor. I enjoy filling my free time with friends, family, and loved ones. You’ll also often find me scrapbooking and crocheting, or out and about going for walks, spending time outside, and listening to live music.
We specialize in providing bilingual/bi-cultural psychotherapy to Asian international students, especially Chinese students. All our therapists are familiar with the nuances in Asian cultures and can provide bilingual therapy. Therapy can be a little nerve-wrecking for many college students who are first-time therapy seekers. In our work, you will be warmly supported to ease your way into emotional awareness, see your true self more clearly, feel safer, and move towards actual changes you want.

With more than five years of experience as a trauma-informed therapist, I work with teens and adults navigating trauma, mood disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Beyond the clinical work, what drives me most is a genuine passion for connecting with the people I have the privilege of working with. Therapeutic relationships built on trust and authenticity are at the heart of everything I do. When you feel safe enough to be truly open, not just with me but with yourself, something powerful becomes possible. That vulnerability is where growth begins, and it's something I hold with great care. Watching someone gain insight, deepen their self-awareness, and step closer to the person they aspire to be is, without question, the most rewarding part of this work. It's why I show up as a supportive, collaborative, and reliable partner in every person's journey, and why I look forward to doing the same for you. Every person who walks through my door brings a unique story, and the way I work with you reflects that. Care that's genuinely effective isn't one-size-fits-all, so I tailor each aspect of our work to your specific needs, goals, and lived experiences. From the first session, building a strong, authentic rapport is my priority, because real motivation and lasting change grow out of feeling truly seen and supported. You can expect a space that is safe, collaborative, and free of judgment. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy, woven together with other evidence-based approaches as your journey calls for them, we'll work to deepen your self-awareness, strengthen your coping skills, and cultivate the tools that support your mental health for the long term. The goal isn't just to help you feel better in the moment; it's to help you grow into the steadiness and confidence that carry you forward. My path to becoming a therapist began with a strong desire to feel understood and a deep curiosity about the human experience. That longing to connect and understand others shaped the way I show up for my patients, with compassion, patience, and genuine empathy. As a Black and Latina woman, I bring a culturally informed perspective to my practice, along with a sincere commitment to stepping outside my own frame of reference to explore and honor the experiences of people from all backgrounds and walks of life. This perspective enriches the care I offer and deepens the connection we build together. In my personal time, I prioritize activities that support balance, creativity, and overall well-being. Reading and crocheting serve as mindful, creative outlets, while a consistent exercise routine and a love of hiking keep me grounded in both body and mind. Staying connected with friends and family is equally important to me, and I make intentional time to nurture those relationships. That commitment to a well-rounded life is something I carry into my work with you.
