I treat clients who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and transitional issues that cause identity crisis. I also work with Neurodivergent clients including clients who are autistic (ASD). My clients often struggle with their high standards, perfectionism, and wanting to please others. I have a very diverse clientele that includes LGBTQ+, AAPI, Arab Americans, Indian Americans, Pakistani/Bangladeshi Americans, and African Americans. My approach is, we are in this together. I have clients who know why they are seeking therapy, but many clients can’t articulate the specific reason. You don’t need to have a specific reason, but you sought out help because you are ready to address something in your life. I focus on your strengths and skills that can help you address your problems. My approach is to have an open and organic conversation with you while being non judgmental, patient, and actively listening. My clients have said that my interactive style, positive attitude, and humor are reasons they continue to see me. In our initial sessions, we will work to identify the issues you wish to discuss and how they impact your life. I value your perspective and life experience as key components of the therapeutic process. I am always willing to meet with a client for a free consultation via phone or video.

My main approaches are derived from person centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, and schema therapy. I hope for all my clients to leave sessions gaining more understanding of who they are, questions and tools to help them go deeper and confidence to work towards change. In sessions I provide a warm and safe space for you to freely express yourself. Together we will work collaboratively to address the anxiety, depression and other symptoms hindering you in life. Working together to understand the root of these issues and challenge the thinking patterns and behaviors that repeats themselves, keeping you in a negative loop. The tools that I will provide will help you gain more insight and understanding of yourself and work towards meaningful change and growth. I also specialize in mental health with Christian spirituality. I can also teach you how to implement biblical principles into improving your mental health.

Kelly Solis is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the social service and behavioral health field. Throughout her career, Kelly has worked with various populations in a number of different settings. Currently, Kelly provides individual psychotherapy to adults who are struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and panic, grief, or stress. Many of Kelly's clients experience feelings of sadness and low mood, sleep difficulties, low energy, trouble with concentration; as well as, feelings of anxiousness and worry, difficulty relaxing, and feelings of restlessness. She also provides support to those experiencing difficulty coping with life transitions, loss, relationship issues/conflict, work stress, and trauma. Kelly’s approach to therapy is client centered and strengths based. Kelly helps clients identify how certain patterns of behavior or unresolved traumas can impact their functioning in the present. Using CBT concepts, she educates clients on how one's thoughts can influence their feelings and behaviors. For those experiencing stress, Kelly works with her client to identify what is contributing to their distress and explore ways to improve coping, so that those stressors become more manageable. Kelly takes pride in meeting clients where they are and fosters a space where clients feel heard, safe, and where judgement does not exist. During the intake, Kelly will utilize that visit to gather information to understand the client's history and set goals together. She may assign homework which can help clients become more insightful as they move through the therapeutic process. Clients often leave sessions feeling relieved, understood, and overtime notice a reduction in symptoms. Whether it's your first time pursuing therapy or you're familiar with the process, it's important to choose someone who is a good fit and that meets your needs. Everyone deserves to have a space where they can be their authentic selves, express their feelings, receive unbiased feedback, and where they feel supported. I understand personally how challenging it can be dealing with stress, depression, anxiety and other life issues, which helps me relate with clients on a deeper level. There's a life saying that I love which is "Grow through what you go through." If you are in need of support or looking to foster change and growth, please feel free to contact me for a free phone consultation.

I'm so glad you've started this journey to improve your mental wellbeing. I know how difficult beginnings can be—I’ve worked with a number of first-time and returning therapy clients from backgrounds as diverse as New York City itself. I particularly enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ clients and people with disabilities and neurodivergences. I do my best to honor your cultural experience as we tackle some of life’s biggest challenges together: depression and anxiety, trauma and grief, chronic illness and medical issues, relationship difficulties and life transitions, and problematic drug use or other behaviors that may no longer be serving you. My own career began in worker organizing, then moved into community social work and social policy research. I have a deep appreciation for how relationships and social realities impact mental health and prioritize a relational and social change-oriented approach. Disability justice, racial justice, and gender justice are core tenets of my practice. My work is also influenced by my own experiences as a therapy client: I strive to be as transparent as possible about what we’re doing and why, so you can be a full partner on the journey and never feel left in the dark. Above all, I am person-centered: I start by learning who you are as an individual, your strengths and challenges, and then figure out which clinical approaches can work best for you. I often draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and am pursuing further training in these modalities. I very much look forward to meeting you and taking this journey together!

My name is Ricardo and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. My work focuses on supporting people navigating eating disorders, OCD, and the unique experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals. These struggles can feel isolating—but they don’t have to be. I offer a warm, affirming space where you don’t have to explain or justify who you are or what you’re going through. Together, we’ll explore the patterns and pain points in your life with care. I use approaches like CBT, Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), and motivational interviewing, always through a trauma-informed and person-centered lens. But just as important as the tools is the relationship—we’ll build something grounded in trust and mutual respect. I know how loud the inner critic can get, how overwhelming it feels to be stuck in loops of anxiety, shame, or self-doubt. You deserve relief, and you deserve to feel more at home in yourself. Therapy can be a space where you get to exhale and be fully seen. If anything here resonates, I invite you to reach out. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can talk about what you’re looking for and see if we’re a good fit. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on this part of your journey.

As a daughter of immigrants, I know firsthand the stigma that surrounds communities of color when it comes to mental health. My goal is to serve as a source of support in the healing process of BIPOC communities. Often, my clients arrive at sessions feeling lost and overwhelmed with cultural and societal expectations. I want to provide you with a space where you can feel safe, feel seen, be vulnerable, and work towards healing and connectedness. I work with individuals to help unlearn patterns and behaviors that are no longer serving them. I specialize in working with Latinx, millennials, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA communities. I integrate trauma-informed and experiential approaches in our work together to alleviate your distress and help you understand how your lived experiences have shaped your journey (e.g grief, life transitions). Our work together will be rooted in unpacking traumatic experiences, childhood experiences, challenging thinking patterns, and acculturative stress. I strongly believe the therapeutic relationship is integral to our work together. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to ensure I am the right therapist. Life can feel overwhelming these days, and meaningful relationships, joys and values can be hard to sustain. The coping patterns we adopt often get in the way of feeling better, and connected with others. My practice fosters an empathetic environment where clients are at ease exploring emotions and concerns. Collaboratively, we address issues such as anxiety, depression and self-esteem struggles, and tackle problems such as relationship difficulties, life transitions, loss and school-related stressors. Jointly, we will define concrete goals, develop real-life coping skills and become more aware of underlying barriers to well-being. I am an LCSW (NYU) with a psychodynamic approach. I also draw on techniques from mindfulness-based therapies and trauma-informed methodologies. A former art history professor and undergraduate advisor (B.A. & M.A., Williams; Ph.D. U.Chicago), I understand the particular challenges college students face. Often, the hardest step about therapy is the decision to begin. I welcome the opportunity to meet you and explore how I can be helpful to you.
