Our practice offers specialized, culturally responsive mental health services tailored to Latinx and immigrant communities, with a strong emphasis on serving Spanish-speaking clients. All providers are bilingual, allowing us to deliver care in clients’ preferred language without reliance on interpretation services. We are particularly equipped to address the unique stressors faced by immigrant populations, including acculturation challenges, trauma, family separation, and systemic barriers to care. However, each clinician possesses diverse specializations to effectively support the distinct needs of individuals and families.

I connect well with clients who are curious about themselves & the world, have a sense of humor, and are motivated to engage in the process of therapy. I particularly enjoy working with folks who are new to therapy and those who are motivated to roll their sleeves up and get to work.

I am a Licensed Psychologist with over 15 years experience in university settings. My work focuses on students with a range of concerns, including depression and anxiety, difficult life transitions, relationship problems or losses, trauma, and identity. I have specific expertise working with the common challenges experienced during college. I also enjoy working with individuals of diverse identities and backgrounds, which has been a focus in both my career and my ongoing education. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and relational. I make space for what feels most important to you, while using my expertise to provide guidance. Our relationship is a priority in my work. I use warmth, humor, and honesty to create a safe space where you can be your most authentic self. Please contact me if you would like to connect for a 15 minute phone consultation.

College is a time of change—new experiences, growing independence, and sometimes, overwhelming stress. If you’re feeling anxious, stuck, or struggling with a major life transition, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m Rachel Boll, LPC, and I specialize in helping college students like you find clarity, confidence, and relief from stress, anxiety, and past trauma. How I Can Help Many students come to me feeling burned out, lost, or weighed down by experiences they haven’t fully processed. Maybe you’re: ✔ Struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, or self-doubt ✔ Feeling stuck in old patterns that no longer serve you ✔ Navigating a major transition—graduation, changing relationships, or redefining your identity ✔ Carrying the weight of past trauma and ready to heal I use a holistic, mind-body approach, incorporating EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), mindfulness, and somatic therapy to help you work through stress, anxiety, and trauma in a way that feels right for you. What It’s Like to Work with Me Therapy isn’t about fixing you—because you’re not broken. It’s about giving you the space, tools, and support to feel more grounded, clear, and empowered. My style is warm, interactive, and down-to-earth. We’ll move at your pace, exploring what feels most important to you. If you’re ready to start feeling more in control of your life, I’d love to support you.

I aim to create an environment that is respectful, supportive, and collaborative. My approach to therapy is primarily based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). A core idea in ACT is that trying too hard to get rid of or control our emotions tends to backfire. Thus, instead of trying to get rid of unwanted thoughts, feelings, or emotions, I will help you learn to react differently to them so that you can keep your focus on living a meaningful and fulfilling life based on what’s important to you. This type of approach places your values at the center of therapy. Using your values and existing strengths as a foundation, we will work together to set meaningful goals to address your concerns –whether they relate to life transitions, depression, anxiety, body image, grief/loss, job or academic stress, or gender and sexuality. I have extensive training in working with transgender and gender diverse adults, youth, and families. Transgender clients seeking assessment or counseling services can expect a safe space, and respectful, non-pathologizing, collaborative care. If you are looking for someone to work with regarding gender identity and exploration, I can provide education, support, preparation, and, if indicated, reports/letters for surgery.

College can bring a lot at once: more independence, academic pressure, changing relationships, questions about identity, and the uncertainty of what comes next. Even when things are going well, it can still feel overwhelming, isolating, or hard to manage alone. Horizon Online Therapy is a small telehealth practice offering therapy for college students in Oregon. We are not a large platform or a call-center-style service. We are a small team of clinicians who value steady, personal, and collaborative care. Our therapists support students dealing with anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, burnout, identity questions, family conflict, perfectionism, and major life transitions. We work with students who may be adjusting to college, navigating cultural or family expectations, exploring identity and belonging, or trying to understand patterns that keep getting in the way. Our team includes: Alex, who works with adoptees, immigrants, and students from multicultural backgrounds, with a focus on identity, belonging, trauma, and the experience of living between cultures. Tenaya, who supports LGBTQ+ students, students navigating relationships, and those struggling with stress, perfectionism, self-doubt, or feeling stuck. Rachel, who brings a holistic approach and incorporates mindfulness, EMDR, and somatic therapy for students working through trauma, burnout, or significant life changes. Therapy with us is warm, practical, and individualized. We offer online sessions so students can access care from a private space that works for them. Our goal is not to tell you who to be, but to help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and better able to manage what you are carrying. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Therapy can be a place to slow down, sort through what is happening, and get support that feels real.

I offer a free ten-minute initial phone consultation to determine if we are a good fit for each other.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, whether it's your first time or you're looking for something different than what you've tried before. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or simply ready for something to change — especially in the middle of the demands of student life, work, or both. I've worked in mental health since 2000, with over 25 years of experience with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I'm licensed in Oregon, Washington, and Colorado, and I see clients through secure telehealth. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, chronic illness, relationship concerns, burnout, and major life transitions. I have particular experience with college and graduate students, helping professionals, and people navigating the emotional weight of chronic or invisible illness. My approach is collaborative and active. Insight matters, but understanding why a pattern exists doesn't always change how it feels — so alongside talking, we work toward new emotional, relational, and nervous-system experiences that let change happen on a deeper level. I draw on attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, and approaches like Somatic Experiencing, AEDP, IFS, and EMDR, depending on what fits you. Some sessions focus on practical strategies and current challenges. Others slow down to explore what's happening underneath. We'll find the pace that actually helps.

I believe that we are wildly capable of healing and creating more true and beautiful stories for our lives- so let's get started.
