Hi there, my name is Kristina Mills-Gregory, and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Oregon, and Florida. I have been providing therapy for over 12 years. I have a Masters in Counseling from Campbell University, and a BA in Psychology and Communication Studies from University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Prior to becoming a therapist, I started my career as a school counselor in public schools. I have also worked in community mental health, providing a wide range of services. I specialize in depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, and other issues.

We believe the spaces we create foster comfort and trust so you can feel safe to explore your feelings . With counseling techniques designed to help you understand the source of your negative thoughts and behaviors, we can help you design healthier patterns that reduce discomfort and promote healing. From trauma to life transitions, our team will work with you to create the life you want, helping you feel empowered and in control of your life Let us help you find your way to your center.
My style is warm and supportive. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches (cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, brief solution focused therapy, and family systems theory) to help clients feel heard, share their story, decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression, address traumas, and improve the quality of their lives. I emphasize strengths, and help clients set realistic and achievable goals.
I am an evidence-based therapist who incorporates mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral strategies to tailor therapy to your needs. I will help you understand how to be more present-focused, how to set yourself up for success, and how to challenge negative thoughts and beliefs that hold you back from living a genuine life. I am a goal-oriented therapist. In the initial stages of therapy, we will work together to identify and clarify goals. Then, I'll help you learn new skills or tools to make those goals a reality. Finally, we'll work on reducing the likelihood of similar issues coming up in the future. Please feel free to email me through Psychology Today even if my profile says I'm full. I save a few weekend spaces specifically for students.
I specialize in assessing and treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and neurodevelopmental disorders, including ADHD and Level 1 Autism. My approach recognizes how traumatic experiences deeply affect mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. In therapy, we will explore the powerful connection between mind and body, working together to regain control over your life and build a more adaptive understanding of past experiences. My therapeutic interventions focus on developing resilience, strengthening self-confidence, managing symptoms effectively, and fostering new neural pathways that support more positive, meaningful experiences.
I am currently accepting clients for group therapy only. Though group may seem scary at first, it is an excellent place to work on many aspects of mental health that are impacted by interpersonal dynamics, including loneliness, grief, unhealthy relationship patterns, self-esteem, and much more. I use an integrative person-centered approach, which means that I seek to understand your unique experience and aim to create safe and trusting therapeutic relationships.

College can feel like a lot — like you’re trying to stay afloat in a fast-moving current. Some days you’re cruising; other days it’s all you can do to keep your head above water. Maybe you’re here because you’re tired of just getting by. Maybe you’re looking for a space to slow down, catch your breath, and figure out what’s next. I believe in meeting people exactly where they are - in the messy, real, complicated parts of being human. My approach is flexible and grounded in empathy, drawing from attachment work, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parts work, and EMDR. All aimed at helping you feel more connected to yourself and others.
In my 30 years of personal and professional development, I have created a unique approach to bring hope and strength, healing and transformation. It is my honor and joy to provide and hold a safe space as we work on healing relationship with self, others and the world. Other key components to healing are acceptance, trust, forgiveness and gratitude. Our time together is precious and I will share with you mindful and heartfelt practices to wholeness, authenticity, and presence.
Having trained at the University of Notre Dame (Ph.D., M.A.), UC Berkeley (APA-accredited internship) and Stanford (post-doctoral fellowship), I bring rigorous scientific expertise into my clinical work with college students. In fact, I worked at the University Counseling Centers at all three of these schools and have continued to develop a specialized private practice that focuses almost exclusively on college students. I also teach for Pepperdine University in their Graduate School of Education & Psychology. I help clients with a range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, career and academic concerns, ADHD, relationship concerns (situationships, am I right? :) ), body image and eating disorders, perfectionism, college/life transitions, as well as family of origin challenges (let's say it together, boundaries...). I often work with high-achieving students who often are managing academically but struggling internally. My clients often put others first and themselves last. By the time they come to therapy, concerns have been going on for some time and they've reached a breaking point. They may feel they "should" be able to handle things on their own. As a recovering perfectionist and someone who was riddled with anxiety throughout college, I get it. It wasn't until my own training in CBT that I learned how destructive such thought patterns were. It inspired my clinical approach, as well as three clinical workbooks I've published on Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and Positive Psychology with the top mental health publishers. Many of my clients who have been to therapy before often remark how "easy" I make the process. We laugh, we learn, and talk like old friends. Therapy doesn't have to be stuffy or stressful. It's about feeling respected, validated and heard. Learning to take care of yourself, set appropriate boundaries, and thrive! I'd LOVE to work with you! Please feel free to book a complimentary 15 minute consultation at my website below so we can connect!
Life can feel overwhelming. If you’re struggling with stress, emotional pain, or the weight of past experiences, I want you to know that there is hope—and you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to help you discover the tools, strategies, and perspectives that can make a difference in your life and relationships. Meaningful change is possible. Therapy is a journey, and I walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for your unique experience. Together, we’ll explore practical steps for lasting change, and you’ll gain clarity on how to move forward.
My clients are exhausted and overwhelmed like you. They are tired of doing their best to keep all these balls (school, work, parenting, relationships, self-care, health and wellbeing, sleep + more) up in the air (even though admittedly they are pretty darn good at it). But when they inevitably drop a few because something else pops up or they get tired, life feels messy and they are quick to place judgements on themselves. My clients are expert problem solvers and doers, who in the face of stress, just keep going. Some are the type of person who the people in their life lean on for support. Some have tried a number of ways to fix or problem solve their way our of their emotions or exhaustion. They find their coping to work for a little bit but aren't moving them towards the life they imagined for themselves. Some realize they aren't sure they can keep up with all of what needs to be done to feel "okay". When some of my clients do take time for themselves or the rest they need, their mind struggles with feeling guilty, worrying about what they "should" be doing for work/school/person (fill in the blank with any responsibility). Like my clients, you deserve to find ease and connection in your body without a to-do list flowing through your head or scanning your body for what’s wrong now. Not being defined or consumed by your productivity is not out of your reach. I'd love to help you get there. Contact me today for a free consultation.
I founded Keshet Counseling to support individuals who often feel overlooked or misunderstood in traditional therapy spaces. My work is especially meaningful to those navigating the complexities of chronic illness, such as Lyme Disease, Mold Toxicity, MCAS, and other invisible disabilities, as well as those facing antisemitism or discrimination for not aligning with political or institutional expectations. I also work closely with teens and adults dealing with antisemitism, narcissistic abuse, multicultural identity issues, codependency, love addiction, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. My approach is rooted in body centered somatic psychology using mindfulness. We’ll explore unconscious beliefs and patterns shaping your experience by noticing whats happening for you in this moment. I hold a humanistic view of healing: I believe you are already whole, worthy, and deeply capable of transformation. My role is to help reconnect you to your own inner knowing, and I view our relationship as a collaborative space where your voice and wisdom lead the way. I don’t believe there’s something wrong with you, rather, what happened to you.
Ben’s professional training is as a Depth Psychotherapist, which means that his approach to helping others through difficult times always takes Soul into consideration when addressing the issues that his clients bring to their sessions. Our life experiences impact who we are and who we become. The positive experiences stay with us, but the negative experiences stay with us as well. Sometimes it helps to look at all these experiences – both positive and negative to help us gain a deeper understanding of ourselves. The relationships we have had throughout our lives are also deeply influential in shaping who we are and our current relationships. Therapy can be helpful in giving each person a greater sense and deeper understanding of who they are and how their relationships and experiences have impacted them. By looking at all these pieces we can place them together to form a whole picture.

I also support clients in exploring their concept of spirituality and their feelings around the crises humanity is experiencing. Being a human today is hard. You don’t have to do it alone. If you are ready to connect with a deeper sense of purpose, heal from familial and societal constructs, and live the life you dream of, the time is now! Send me an email and let’s start the journey!
My style is warm, direct and collaborative. I aim to identify patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating that limit one’s ability to pursue their goals. These patterns are often the legacy of successful coping at an earlier stage of life, but no longer serve one’s best interest. Exploring the underlying forces can open space to make new choices, grow, and alleviate suffering.
