Lydia obtained their masters in School and Mental Health Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently working toward licensure. They have experience in working with LGBT adults and adolescents, the BIPOC community, and other marginalized identities. Lydia’s therapeutic approach primarily revolves around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered Counseling and they will implement techniques that best cater to their clients’ needs. Lydia’s values are informed through a lens of intersectionality by evaluating how structural oppression affects different minority groups. As a result, they promote radical self-love and acceptance as a form of resistance against oppressive systemic structures. You can find Lydia enjoying their free time tending to their plants, spending time with their cats, and playing video games.

I am a relational therapist who emphasizes a social justice approach to my work. I believe that to truly, deeply understand ourselves, we must look at the larger context within which we operate. I provide comprehensive treatment for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD and various other mental health conditions. Psychiatry is a unique field in medical practice and listening to our patients is the key to understanding their needs. We aim to understand you, not just medicate you. The primary focus is on adults between the ages of 20 and 60 who are motivated to make healthy changes in their life, to learn about their condition and to grow in the process. Although medications do play a central role sessions often involve a deeper exploration of the patient's life issues that may be playing a key role. The focus is patient centered mental health. Several conditions are beyond the scope of our practice. Patients with eating disorders, psychosis, body image distortions, gender dysphoria and substance use issues are often referred to more specialized centers. Parenting or custody evaluations are also outsourced as are disability evaluations. I do not participate with any third party insurance carriers. Payment for appointments is expected at the session. The 90 min evaluation is $250, follow-ups are $150. Most forms of payment are accepted. The frequency of appointments varies depending on the complexity of the presentation and patient needs.

Are You Looking For A Therapist Who Will Involve Your Entire Being, Mind, Body and Soul, in Your Healing Journey? There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. With that, I utilize yoga practices to help guide you to integrate your mind and body. Unlike talk therapy, where we explore your thoughts and feelings on a topic or event, Yoga + Therapy encourages you to feel the body sensations that hold wisdom about that topic or event. Your body has an opinion, it's time to listen to it! I specialize in working with women and BIPOC - two groups I identify with and deeply care about. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and yoga teacher with specific training in trauma-informed practices. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life. If you are looking for traditional talk therapy only, I integrate meditation and mindfulness in sessions to help you further explore areas in your life. I am an Out of Network Provider (Self Pay/Private Pay). Please visit my website www.mindbodysoulcounseling.com to learn more about my practice and schedule a free 15 minute consultation call. I can't wait to work with you! There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. I emphasize the importance of being comfortable in your own body. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life.

Hi! My name is Josh Foster, I have over 20 years experience in working with college students, helping them through many of the most difficult emotional barriers and roadblocks that we face. I love working with college students! A lot of the work that I do with people centers around trauma that they have experienced. As someone who has been diagnosed with PTSD as a result of trauma suffered by churches and religious people and systems, I have great empathy and understanding for people dealing with trauma. Here's some of how I approach the work I do with people: I’ll get to know you through asking questions. No one story can encapsulate all of who you are, so I’ll listen and show curiosity about you and your life. I will speak hope to you. I believe that hope is essential to keep moving forward as a human being. I also understand how hard it can be to hold onto. We’ll look for repeated themes, ideas, and connections in your stories so that we can find the problem(s) and discover the tactics and strategies that the problems are using to stay in power. We will work to separate you from the problem(s). I honestly believe that you are not the problem but that whatever problem you are struggling with (anxiety, depression, anger) is the problem. We will discover who you aspire to be and develop tools and strategies that can help you to live for longer stretches of time as the best version of yourself. We’ll work to develop tools that you can utilize in between our sessions, and truths for you to hold on to, so that you can have more hope. I’ll help you learn to pay attention to the ways that your body is trying to communicate to you. I find that the people who make the most progress usually do some reflection between sessions.
