Hello! I specialize in working with engineering and other STEM students that feel overwhelmed by their academic and personal lives. As a former mental health ambassador for two top engineering programs in the country, I have a wealth of experience working with students who are driven, highly intelligent and under intense pressure to succeed. I also work with engineers and engineering managers across STEM industries and can support students in their career exploration process. I am a neuro-divergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming provider that will take the time to tailor your therapy experience to exactly what you need. I am looking forward for the chance to meet you. Feel free to reach out for a free 15 min consultation to discuss how I can help you in your journey through and after school.

Life experiences can have a significant impact on our sense of self, relationships, and overall well-being. My practice focuses on creating a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space where individuals can explore, process, and find meaning in their life experiences in a way that empowers them to live more authentically. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I support clients in developing self-awareness and experiencing transformation at their own pace. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Arkansas and Texas. I have experience providing therapy for adults from diverse backgrounds who are experiencing life adjustments, stress, anxiety, depression, psychological conflicts, grief and loss. My practice supports the LGBTQIA2+ community. Reaching out can be a difficult first step. I recognize this courageous undertaking and offer a free 15-minute consultation to answer any questions you have, discuss your therapeutic needs, and determine if we are a good fit. I am glad you are here and look forward to hearing from you.
Life is full of obstacles and challenges; sometimes, this can contribute to things feeling hopeless or out of control. Learning healthy tools to overcome and deal with these situations is an important part of mental health as well as physical health. I believe that all people have the potential to improve their situation; sometimes, they just need support to navigate those changes. I have been providing counseling services for 20+ years, and have spent many years working with adolescents and young adults dealing with trauma, domestic violence, and depression/anxiety concerns. Every client is different and unique. I strive to create a trusting and caring environment where you will feel heard and supported as I work to get to know your individual needs. I value questions and want to partner with you to help you achieve your goals. If you have been considering therapy or on the fence, I would encourage you to give it a try.
I help college and graduate students who look like they’re doing fine—but feel constantly overwhelmed, anxious, and exhausted—learn how to calm their nervous system and regain confidence. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or emotionally drained, even if you’re not sure exactly why. You might be dealing with anxiety, feeling stuck or disconnected, struggling with motivation, or carrying experiences from your past that still affect you today. Many students I work with are trying their best, care deeply, and just need a space where they don’t have to hold everything together. If you’re looking for someone who will listen with care, meet you where you are, and help you make sense of what you’re feeling, you’re in the right place. Our work together is collaborative and supportive, with a focus on helping you feel grounded, understood, and more confident navigating daily life. I also support students who are healing from difficult family experiences, spiritual or religious harm, or other painful experiences. These can shape how you see yourself and your relationships, and it’s okay if you’re still figuring things out. Reaching out can feel like a big step, especially if you’re unsure what to say or where to start. We can take things at your pace. If any part of this resonates with you, I’d be happy to connect and see if working together feels like a good fit.
At Taylor’s Touch of Clarity, we work best with college students who feel overwhelmed, stressed, or uncertain—even if everything looks “fine” on the outside. Many of the students we support are balancing classes, work, family expectations, relationships, and the pressure to figure out their future, all at the same time. You may be experiencing constant stress, anxiety that makes it hard to focus, low confidence, or feeling stuck in your own head. Some students come to us feeling burned out, disconnected, or unsure of who they are becoming. Others are navigating depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, or major life transitions. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and support is available. Our practice is built on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where students can openly talk about what they’re going through without feeling rushed, labeled, or misunderstood. We focus on meeting you where you are and tailoring care to your individual needs, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. At Taylor’s Touch of Clarity, counseling is a collaborative process. We believe progress happens best when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their growth. Our clinicians work alongside students to build practical coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and strengthen confidence in both academic and personal areas of life. Using a client-centered and strengths-based approach, we help students identify their values, recognize their strengths, and develop tools to manage stress, anxiety, mood challenges, and relationship concerns. Our goal is not just to help you get through college, but to support you in building skills and self-understanding that will serve you well beyond it.
ONLINE ONLY! In my view, psychotherapy serves different purposes at different stages of one's life. For young adults, one of the key tasks at hand is to discover their potential, talents, weaknesses, fears, wants and needs, and to manage relationships at various levels of emotional intimacy. In this process, many of us need to clarify past issues and unresolved conflicts to move forward more freely. My practice is informal, relaxed and friendly, and most of my clients come from multicultural and multiracial backgrounds, and I treasure diversity. I am comfortable working in English, Portuguese and Spanish languages.
Navigating college life can feel like a rollercoaster, one minute you're on top of the world, the next you're cramming for finals and wondering if you'll ever figure things out. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or just need a space to talk through the ups and downs, I'm here to help. Think of our sessions as a judgment-free zone where we can tackle everything from academic anxiety to relationship drama, together.
If you’ve been feeling like you’ve kind of lost yourself lately, you’re not alone—and you’re exactly who I love working with. A lot of the people I see are juggling school, expectations, relationships, and big life decisions, while quietly feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of who they really are. You might overthink everything, struggle to say no, or feel pressure to have it all figured out—even when you don’t. In our work together, you won’t get a stiff or overly clinical experience. I show up as a real person—warm, down-to-earth, and sometimes bringing in humor when it helps take the edge off. I’ll help you slow things down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and start trusting yourself more so you can feel grounded, confident, and more like you again.

You make “To-do” lists to help you stay organized and not forget things, but rarely cross everything off and are highly critical towards yourself about “not getting enough done.” Life feels like it is on rinse and repeat, day in and day out and you wonder if it will ever feel any different. You are working so hard to keep your shit together and simultaneously get off the struggle bus, but you feel so effing drained all the time. You thought you had “taken care of” or “were past” those awful things that happened to you so long ago, until everything recently came rushing back. You intentionally withhold sharing about your personal problems, because you fear “burdening others.” You deserve a mentally well-thy life and I am just the person to help! I will pinpoint what isn’t working and disrupt the hell out of what might be keeping you from moving onward to the next best thing for you!
In a few weeks, you could be unstuck from what’s holding you back. Let’s get started. If you’ve never been in therapy, I’ll make this easy. If you're coming back, I’ll honor what you already know. We’ll get to know each other and understand what you'd like to change. During our sessions, you will always be the expert in how your life works, and I’ll share with you a research-based approach to creating mental health. We'll work toward goals as a team, in a process that fits your unique background (e.g., race, ethnicity, gender, sex, sexual orientation identity, religious affiliation); respecting your values is important to me. I use treatments that we know work. These therapies not only help you overcome problems you’re experiencing right now, but I’ll teach you skills to resolve future problem that might come your way, too. While handling emotions in a new way might feel strange, I’ll be there to walk you through the process. I completed a Ph.D. in counseling psychology at the University of Utah, and fellowship in trauma psychology at the South Texas VA. I am a clinical mental health therapist providing online tele-mental health services to teens, adults, and couples. I have experience with individuals suffering from trauma, PTSD, sexual abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, communication issues, relationship issues, parenting problems, substance abuse, codependency, anger, grief, and OCD. I have been in practice at Bowman Family Services in North Carolina since 2021. I received my PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision in 2023, and I recently started a practice in Texas with Headway.
I am particularly interested in, and trained for, working with clients who are struggling with or are in recovery from eating disorders. I have extensive experience working with adults (18 and older) who have co-occurring diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and trauma. I also find fulfillment in supporting people who are navigating life transitions: tackling the college experience, embarking on a new career, becoming a parent, empty-nesting, or encountering a less-expected transition such as grief or a relationship ending. It is common for people who have had an eating disorder or who are currently struggling with one, to find that transitions challenge their recovery process with increased stress. Counseling may be especially helpful during that time. The most important component of effective therapy is providing a therapeutic relationship built on warmth, empathy, genuineness, unconditional regard and trust. Using a “Health at Every Size” (HAES®) philosophy I draw from several different therapeutic techniques to tailor my approach to your unique needs. My primary goal is to help you understand how your presenting concerns developed and what is perpetuating them. I then support you in accepting or making changes that align with your values and goals. I offer a free initial phone call during which time you and I can explore together if I'm a good fit to help you reach your goals. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about therapy and help you feel ready to begin this process. You're welcome to send me an email with any questions you may have!
We provide specialized trauma care. Most clinicians are bilingual and trained in EMDR.
I specialize in supporting high-achieving professionals—especially those in academia or the helping profession (doctors, nurses, therapists, pastors)—who grapple with perfectionism, difficulty setting boundaries, codependency, and the challenge of prioritizing their own needs amidst the many demands of their personal and professional lives. As an immigrant, I bring a rich, cross-cultural perspective to therapy and a deep appreciation for how culture shapes identity, relationships, and mental health. Many of my clients are navigating complex intersections of cultural expectations, academic roles, and personal values. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a professor and active researcher. My academic work focuses on interpersonal trauma and its impact on relationships and meaning-making. This dual identity as both clinician and scholar informs my approach: deeply reflective, integrative, and grounded in both science and lived experience. I work exclusively via Telehealth with adult clients residing in GA, MI, and TX. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship—one that offers both safety and challenges patterns by providing direct and honest feedback. If you're ready to invest in yourself and your well-being, I invite you to reach out.
