ALL IN PERSON SESSIONS ARE SCHEDULED FOLLOWING INITIAL VIRTUAL INTAKE SESSION. Life brings challenges that can shift our focus and cause us to lose sight of ourselves and what matters most. It is my privilege to offer a compassionate, listening ear—providing support, encouragement, and practical tools to help you navigate these difficult moments. My ultimate goal is to create a safe, unbiased, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly seen, heard, and empowered. Working with individuals, and families from all , backgrounds, and walks of life is more than a job—it's a dream come true. I am here to serve. I am here for you. Whether you're facing life’s unexpected challenges or seeking personal growth, I’m committed to walking alongside you with guidance, support, and the tools you need to achieve your goals. I look forward to partnering with you on this journey.
I provide meaning-centered counseling for individuals navigating trauma, chronic pain, and long-standing stress. My practice is grounded in the belief that experiences are held not only as memories or thoughts, but also within the nervous system as patterns shaped over time. When appropriate, I integrate body-based tools and insight-oriented approaches, supporting students who may understand their experiences intellectually yet continue to feel trapped in how their body responds. Work is paced, collaborative, and attentive to context, readiness, and lived experience rather than quick symptom fixes. My services are offered through in-person sessions in Frisco, Texas, and via secure telehealth across the state. My private practice is self-pay. For those wanting to use insurance, I also see clients through Legacy Trails Therapy, where select plans are accepted under supervisory billing. This can be discussed during consultation.
Hello! So glad you are taking the steps to explore personal growth through counseling. If you’re having thoughts of self-harm or struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, and distressing symptoms as a result of trauma, help is available. Burnout, stress, and other mental health challenges don’t have to consume your life. You can find relief through therapy that increases your sense of self-worth and helps you accept your circumstances while also guiding you toward inner peace. You’ll learn coping skills to sit with uncomfortable feelings and reduce trauma symptoms. My holistic approach to therapy will help you increase resiliency, self-acceptance, and authentic engagement with others.
Feeling swamped with everything on your plate? Between academics, deadlines, relationships, home life, part-time work, studying, and making tough choices, the list feels endless. Sometimes that sense of overwhelm can push you to try harder, or it can make you want to stay in bed all day. Skipping classes, avoiding people, not wanting to bother anyone—these can be signs it’s time to ask for help. I’m here for you, even if you’re unsure, and I hope to offer some guidance and support.
I look forward to working with people who are ready to make changes in their lives and engage in the therapeutic process. Much of my sessions include discussing goal setting and thinking of various tools and techniques to achieve those goals. I utilize CBT methods, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches to help all clients realize their ability for change and understand they can achieve happiness and alleviate things like anxiety and depression.
Our work as therapist is to help you be more successful at targeting your concerns and finding new choices in how you handle them. Together we will work wonders!
Y’all. Adulting is hard. You might be finishing school, moving out, starting a career, or trying to make big life choices that feel like they’ll define your future. It’s a lot. Between the pressure to “have your sh** together” and constantly comparing yourself to others, it’s easy to feel lost, anxious, depressed, or stuck. Stepping into adulthood can be exciting–and overwhelming. No matter how much you’ve prepared yourself for this moment, change is tough and let’s be real–adulting is hard. Growing up doesn’t come with a roadmap ( I know, I wish it did too.), but that’s because everyone’s path can look different. Many young adults come to therapy for help with challenges like: -Anxiety or stress about school, work, the future, and feeling “behind” -Overthinking and self-doubt that won’t turn off -Difficulty making decisions or feeling stuck in “what’s next” -Identity exploration–figuring out values, goals, or sense of self -Relationship changes with friends, family, or partners -Depression from not feeling like you’re good enough -Burnout from trying to do it all -Life transitions, like moving out, finishing college or starting a new job These challenges are adult growing pains, like when your legs used to hurt before you grew a couple inches. But you know, emotionally. Maybe you also have some baggage from the past that can make navigating these challenges even more difficult (Thanks parents!).

My personal experience with therapy, first at a young age and consistently throughout my life, is what inspired me to pursue my own clinical social work license. Therapy provided a safe space for me and a consistency that didn’t exist anywhere else in my life. My goal has always been to pass that gift along to my clients. I practice the tools I teach to clients in my own life and I show up authentically when I'm with clients. I am a therapist who is happy to answer questions from clients that will help them feel safe in the therapeutic relationship.

Are you experiencing negative conflict with people you care about? If so, you're not alone. Relationships and change are hard. It may be time to get more support. I would love to see how I can help. When you work with me, you can expect to feel safe, understood, hopeful, and empowered. You can also expect to learn strategies to help you progress toward your relationship and mental wellness goals. As a therapist, I believe change is possible with self-awareness, compassion, commitment, and consistency. I offer individual, couple, and family therapy to residents in Utah (in-person and online) and Virginia (online).
Dr. Gonzales takes a personalized, collaborative approach that thoughtfully integrates medication management with evidence-based therapeutic techniques. He believes every patient deserves a safe space — one built on trust and open communication — because lasting change requires feeling safe and genuinely heard. He specializes in treating anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, PTSD, and ADHD across the lifespan — with a particular focus on the unique challenges facing early career professionals, young adults, college students, transitional aged youth, kids and teens. Whether you're seeking psychiatric care for the first time or you've tried other providers and are looking for a better fit, his goal is always the same: to help you grow, develop coping skills that actually work in real life, and build the kind of emotional foundation that holds. Dr. Gonzales believes that mental health care should be readily accessible — because the easier it is to engage in care, the more likely meaningful progress follows. His practice is primarily telehealth-based, removing barriers like commute time, scheduling conflicts, and the hesitation that can come with walking into an office. He currently sees patients virtually across Illinois, Florida, Wisconsin, and Texas. In-person appointments are also available in Chicago, IL for those who prefer them.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you're carrying stress, uncertainty, or emotional pain. My goal working with clients is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel seen, understood, and valued just as you are. I work with clients who are navigating life, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, etc. I take a strengths-based, relational approach to therapy, meaning I focus not only on the difficulties you're facing, but also on the resilience, insight, and abilities you already bring into the room. Together, we build on those strengths to foster growth, healing, and meaningful change. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection. I prioritize developing a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore their experiences at their own pace. I meet you where you are at! As someone who is half Turkish, I also value cultural identity, background, and lived experiences as essential parts of the therapeutic process. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, therapy can be a place to find that and I would be honored to support you in that.
You know something in your life needs to change, but you feel powerless or overwhelmed on where to start. You beat yourself up wondering why it’s so difficult for you to take action when everyone else seems to have their act together. Consequently, you end up doing nothing, and the cycle of shame continues. Believe me, I can empathize, and more than that, I can help. What I want you to know, more than anything, is that there's nothing wrong with you, and you're not broken. You just need to take that first small step towards the healing you truly want, and I encourage you to start today by reaching out to me by phone call or email.
