Therapists for college students near 02155
Are you someone who knows how you'd like things to be, but have a hard time getting there? You are definitely not alone. Change is hard. The good news is that change is also possible. I specialize in working with female-identified college students and other adults who are successful in many ways, but have had challenges sticking with counseling in the past. This could be for different reasons, such as difficulties trusting the process of therapy or difficulty establishing a trusting relationship that allows for fully engaging in counseling. Together, we can create a space where change feels possible and progress feels sustainable, whether in short-term solution-focused work or longer-term therapy. I worked in higher education for over 20 years, so I have a strong understanding of campus life and the student experience. If you believe that I could be a good match for you, please reach out and schedule a free 20 minute consultation to discuss your goals and hopes for therapy. If you go to my website, you can schedule it yourself.

Telehealth appointments only! I received my master’s degree from Lesley University in Mental Health Counseling specializing in Music Therapy in 2018. I enjoy my clinical work and value the courage it takes to engage in therapy. I am an outgoing, personable individual, and provide a creative, safe, and welcoming environment for my clients to meet the challenges in life in order to live their best lives. My clients are always eager to do the work in therapy, of course at varying degrees. Therapy is for those who want it and not necessarily those who "need" it. Frankly, I think everyone would benefit from being in therapy, but it would not be successful without any investment on their end. If one is not interested or motivated to change, then the tools and techniques I provide will not be able to help you. I can understand when it is difficult to complete tasks or follow up on recommendations that I will suggest, however, once you start the work you will see a difference. My clients often come to me feeling stuck, unsure of themselves, lacking confidence, and struggling to function in their everyday lives. If you are looking to learn more about yourself and how past and/or current issues are impacting you then I am your person! I am currently working at Fitzgerald Counseling Group and you can reach out to them via their website, phone number, or email, and request you are interested in working with me!

Do you feel like you’re juggling everything — trying to be the strong one — while quietly running on empty? On the outside, it looks like you’ve got it together, but inside, you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and wondering why it’s so hard to just feel okay. Maybe you say yes when you want to say no or carry old wounds that still affect your life. You’re ready for change — to feel more grounded, present, and connected. I specialize in helping self-aware women break free from perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the heavy emotional load they’ve been carrying for way too long. Together, we’ll get curious about what’s underneath the surface. I use EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches to help you process what’s been holding you back — whether it’s anxiety, past trauma, or patterns you’re just tired of repeating. Therapy with me is about creating a space where you can finally exhale, be fully seen, and start building a life that feels true to who you are. If any of this resonates, I’d love to talk. Life is full of challenges and difficult moments. I believe that as human beings, we are wired to deal with our pain in ways that leave us feeling lost, exhausted, and hopeless. We may lose sight of our purpose, our values, our loved ones, and the many other aspects of life that make us whole and content. With humility and compassion, I aim to support you in dropping the struggle and finding new ways to achieve the well-being you deserve. You don’t have to figure it out alone, and I'm sure we'll share some laughs along the way. I utilize a psychodynamic lens which focuses on the unconscious forces that often drive our emotions and actions; including underlying desires and anxieties that are present deep within the mind yet influence personality and behavior. In addition, I will integrate CBT and DBT with the goal of reducing unwanted behaviors. If we work on ourselves and learn to care for ourselves, we can then be present and capable of helping those around us. I’d love to hear from you. I am best reached over e-mail or through my website.
