You’re managing school, work, relationships, and everyone’s expectations — and people assume you’re fine. But underneath, you’re exhausted from keeping it together. You’ve even tried some self-care, but it’s not hitting like it used to. Hello! My name is Dana Kremidas! Welcome to my page. I have been a practicing Social Worker for 13 years. Since then, I have worked with a lot of college students who are having a tough time adjusting to college life. Students often feel maladjusted, some feel anxious, some suddenly are having academic problems that weren't there before, depression, addiction, relationship issues, social anxiety, ADHD, etc. If you are experiencing issues related to your mental health, you may need to speak to a therapist, and I believe that I can help! We will have a 15-minute free consultation to decide if I'm right for you! If so, we will schedule an appointment. If not, I could refer you to a colleague. Please contact me if you are interested in therapy. I also work on a sliding scale, which means that I charge people less who make less. I will never judge you. Believe me, we all have stories to tell.
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 26 years of professional work experience. I have successfully helped clients with such issues as stress and anxiety, family conflicts, motivation, self esteem and confidence, & depression. My style of therapy is very upfront, as I have found that being direct with clients (and them being direct as well) has been the most effective way to progress through challenges. At the same time, I work hard to treat everyone with respect and compassion. I also love to laugh, and utilize humor as part of my therapy regularly. I will work with you to develop a treatment plan that effectively meets your needs and increases overall happiness and life satisfaction. Presently, I am providing teletherapy appointments for new clients. I am accepting new clients across the state of Michigan who have BCBS or BCN. I also accept private pay clients. Please feel free to contact me at 734-726-6043 with any questions you might have. Thank you for considering my support!

Life throws heavy stuff at us, and sometimes, we need a partner to figure it out. That’s where I come in; I’m just a real person helping other real people. The idea of talking to a therapist can be scary- maybe you’re not ready to share your whole story, and that’s okay. My job is to help you figure out what you want to work on and go from there. I believe therapy is a safe place where we can come up with solutions to some of the challenges you may be experiencing. I take a strengths-based approach and will pepper in some humor as well. I am skilled at helping clients with various challenges, but I consider my expertise to be helping people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, caregivers for others, healthcare workers, people dealing with chronic illness, and people going through life transitions. My goal is to help you feel like the best version of yourself. If you are looking for a real and authentic person who will be your partner in this shitshow we call life, and not just someone asking you "how does that make you feel" and head nodding, then I'm your girl! Setup a free consultation to see if I'm a good fit for your needs.
The mission of my practice is to increase resilience and strengths by increasing personal skills to manage adversity throughout life in all forms in an effective manner. Life is not about solving problems and then crossing a finish line, but about being able manage setbacks and low points in a way that improves outcomes, and helps you live the life you want.
Asking for help can feel like failure. But it’s actually the smartest thing you can do. You’re at a rigorous university. You’re surrounded by smart, accomplished people. Everyone seems to have it together: classes, social life, and future plans despite all the pressure. Except you’re in your room at 2 AM and your anxiety is spiraling. Or you’re making a decision that feels impossibly huge and you have no idea which way to turn. Or you’re just… exhausted. The problem isn’t that you’re not capable. The problem is you’re trying to figure out who you actually are while everyone expects you to have it all figured out. That’s where I come in. I’m Debbie Miller, a therapist who gets college students. I spent 25 years in Ann Arbor and worked extensively with University of Michigan students. I know the academic pressure, the social dynamics, the Greek life culture, the competitive environment. I still work with Michigan students via telehealth, and I genuinely understand what it’s like to be where you are. I work with students who feel overwhelmed by pressure, confused about their future, struggling with anxiety or depression, or navigating major transitions. Students who know something needs to shift but aren’t sure how. Here’s the approach: We work together to help you become an expert on yourself. We’re a team. My job isn’t to tell you what to do, it’s to ask the right questions so you hear your own voice clearly. To challenge you on beliefs that hold you back. To help you figure out what actually matters to you (not what you think should matter). This isn’t always comfortable, but discomfort is usually a sign that real growth is happening. Your pace, your direction. That’s the deal. Ready to talk? Call or email me to schedule your free consultation.
