Dr. Dietz's work as a psychologist is rooted in the belief that there is healing power in connection and in sharing one’s story. She works to provide an affirming space that allows clients to explore their experiences and challenges in a more nuanced and compassionate manner. Human beings have an innate need to feel seen and understood. In an increasingly isolating world, therapy offers clients the opportunity to feel less alone in their struggles, while also offering practical coping skills and strategies for growth. Sarah adopts a collaborative approach with clients, to ensure therapy is addressing goals that are valuable and relevant to each individual. Sarah is intentional about approaching clinical work with a multicultural lens as a means of acknowledging and honoring all aspects of clients’ identities and lived experiences. Sarah utilizes a trauma-informed and grief-informed framework to avoid pathologizing normative reactions to trauma and loss. Sessions will often include psychoeducation to help clients better understand and contextualize their challenges, experiences, and reactions.
Hi there! My name is Justice, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in the State of North Carolina. I was drawn to this profession because of the experiences I have faced in my own life. My passion is working alongside of adolescents, young adults, and new moms as they transition through the seasons of life.. My goal when working with clients is to cultivate a therapeutic relationship by offering an accepting, safe space to be your authentic self to share, learn, and heal. I enjoy processing with young adults through anxiety, stress-management, generational/childhood trauma, depression, relationships issues, and life transitions. My therapy style is holistic, and I use a combination of therapeutic approaches and interventions to help meet your needs. I strongly believe that everyone can acquire skills needed to fulfill life goals and overcome challenges; but sometimes a guide is needed to address patterns of behaviors and problematic thinking. If you like to learn more, take the first step towards hope and healing, you are worth it!
Let me put it simply: being a college student is hard. There are more expectations than ever placed on young adults today and it's a time of tremendous change, transition, and instability. Emotions are a normal part of being human, but sometimes those emotions seem so overwhelming that you might start to feel out of control and alone. It can feel as though no one understands you and no one is really on your side. It might even feel as though your friendships or other relationships are more stressful than they are helpful. That's where I come in. My goal is to provide a safe, stable space and support for you to navigate all of the difficult relationships, changes, and challenges you're experiencing during this time in life. You are not alone!
I help teenagers and adults who notice behaviors or tendencies about themselves that aren’t helpful. I specialize in navigating and overcoming traumas, such as wounds from childhood and/or religious experiences. Maybe you often feel out of place, like you’re a burden, or so overwhelmed that you’re starting to lose motivation. I want to help you break free from the opinions of others, from self doubt, or the fear of being “too much.” You are capable of knowing your worth and being seen and loved by the people around you. My goal as a therapist is to develop a relationship with you different from any other you’ve had in your life. My values are trust, honesty and vulnerability. What I find unique about the therapeutic relationship is that I can show up in your life unlike anyone else, free of expectations, never being mad at you, and never once judging.
Hello, I am excited to offer my services to the college community again. I have a lot of experience working on college campuses and very much value the college experience as a pivotal time in life. I provide talk therapy and neurofeedback
I'm passionate about helping individuals live more fulfilling, happier lives every day through their own decisions, on their own terms. I believe that each client is on a unique journey with their own specific needs, and I tailor my approach to be as helpful as possible to each individual person. I work mostly with adults dealing with depression and anxiety, and have done so for 7+ years. For the past 3 years I have also enjoyed working with individuals struggling with fertility, postpartum/perinatal depression/anxiety, miscarriage, and infant loss. As a person-centered clinician I strive to create a safe space for my clients where they can let it all out. Maybe that's working through traumatic events, processing emotions, or just having a big vent. I also help clients set goals, recognize patterns, build self-awareness, learn coping skills, and strategize for success. I believe the most important thing about a therapist and a client is "goodness of fit," so if you think I might be the right fit for you, please reach out to set up a free 15-minute consult call with me!

Have you recently experienced trauma or struggling with past trauma? I provide trauma-informed therapy in a way that is warm and engaging. Are you stumbling through the relentless bs of the last few years? Perhaps current events reopened old wounds or crushed you with crippling anxiety. I work with clients who are distressed, in pain, and ready for relief - who go between feeling incredibly tense or just numb. I treat different types of trauma with a focus on complex childhood trauma. Together, we'll identify the source of your pain and find ways to help you heal so that you can feel and function better. Often that looks like improved relationships, a calm mind, relaxed body, and a clearer vision about what you want to accomplish moving forward.
I work with clients who are grappling with anxiety, depression, and stress. Many are dealing with changes in their family, including substance use, codependency, and relationship issues. My clients are diverse but they all want to feel understood, heard, and validated. The most important part of therapy is the rapport between the clinician and the client, which is known as unconditional positive regard. The client needs to feel supported so that they can freely discuss the presenting problem. Throughout this process, I strive to be warm, empathetic, and knowledgeable; clients have previously described me as patient and open minded.

Going to a counselor can be intimidating or nerve wracking. Will they accept me? What if I don't know what exactly I want to talk about in therapy? Or do I really want to open up about some of these things? All of these feelings are really normal when beginning counseling and I've had experience working with kids, teenagers, young adults, and adults to begin the journey of processing whatever they would like to work on in therapy. I offer collaborative, supportive, and honest therapy to provide my clients with therapy that helps them identify and work towards the changes they want to see in their lives. I would say my most successful clients have been clients who have been experiencing feelings of anxiety and processing past trauma. I have training in EMDR therapy to help assist with processing past trauma and I work from a theoretical framework of attachment theory, which emphasizes how past relationships impact current relationships. I also provide couples counseling as I have training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I am currently accepting new clients and I'd love to talk over phone or email to see if I might be a good fit for you!
