Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Online
The Bronx, NY

Hey everyone! I'm excited to connect with you. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in NY. I possess certifications in Advanced Grief Counseling, Trauma Treatment and Telemental Health. I specialize in assisting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, and grief/loss. I have experience working with BIPOC clients who struggled with maintaining a college/work-life balance while dealing with a variety of social, environmental, and race-based stressors. Stress is a common issue that I hear about in therapy, but I understand that each individual experiences it differently. Some may not even see it as a problem, viewing it instead as something they've been taught to endure due to family or cultural expectations. Stress can manifest in various ways, such as difficulty making decisions, problems concentrating, feelings of anger, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, headaches, and gastrointestinal issues. My goal is to create a safe and accepting space where we can explore and address the stress that weighs us down and work together to develop effective coping strategies and a wellness plan. I believe that our work together should always be centered around you. It’s all about teamwork and tapping into your strengths. Think of our journey as a partnership. I’m here to offer support and tools, but you’re the one in control, guiding your own path to personal growth. Just like how an architect helps design a building but doesn't do all the hard work themselves, I won’t solve your problems for you. Instead, I want to empower you to create your own blueprint for success. Together, we’ll build a solid foundation so you can confidently tackle whatever challenges come your way.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York and is currently in the process of receiving my PhD in Mental Health Counseling at Pace University. I recognize that each individual is unique and is the expert in their own life. I utilize a person-centered approach focusing on key components of positive psychology and cognitive mindfulness techniques to help foster resilience when facing adversity. My therapeutic work focuses on helping clients gain insight into their thoughts, better identify emotions, and empower clients to make more mindful decisions for themselves. I am passionate about helping children, teens, and adults navigate their lives. I utilize creativity and mindfulness with my clients and incorporate stepping outside of the box to provide clients the opportunity to freely express themselves while learning healthy ways to communicate their emotions. Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Hi, I am a LMHC and I graduated with my master’s degree from WCSU and I am also a certified personal trainer. I enjoy working with teenagers and adults from the ages 14 and up. I also like working with mothers and daughters whom have a strained relationship or just need some help with building their relationship back up. I specialize with issues like anxiety, depression, self-esteem:etc. I always knew I wanted to help other people from a young age. As a kid and teenager I struggled with shyness, self-esteem issues and depression. A lot of the time I felt like I was alone and felt like I was not heard. Since then my goal in life was to help others feel like they are not alone and they are heard no matter the issue. I also believe in treating the whole person. The body and mind are connected, therefore both should be treated. On top of being a therapist, I am also a personal trainer for the last 6 years. I use many different approaches including DBT, CBT, mindfulness techniques, art therapy and psychodynamic. I think every individual is unique, therefore there isn’t just a “one size fits all” approach. I like to speak to each client for a few minutes via phone to make sure that I am the right fit for them. Then I move on to scheduling the first session which consists of me asking questions and getting to know my client and their goals for treatment. I like to take a collaborative approach and allow my client to be the leader in what works and what doesn’t work for them in treatment. I want to help anyone who is willing to put in the work in and out of session. I like to have my clients set small goals in between sessions and review them the following session as a way of assisting in their healing process. I was taught to be kind because you never know what someone else is going through. This value has allowed me to be more empathetic and it allowed me to always be curious. From a young child I was always interested in different cultures. I make sure to take time to look at everyone’s perspectives and check my own judgements. I am constantly learning about different cultures to make sure others feel comfortable and welcomed when they come see me for therapy.

Hello! I am a New York State licensed Psychotherapist with over 21 years of experience. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to identify and reshape negative thoughts and unproductive behaviors or issues in a client's daily life. Many of my clients find it helpful to set goals together and break problems into small, manageable steps. I work in collaboration with my clients to achieve short-term and long-term goals. I particularly enjoy working with college and graduate students in times of transition. I am warm, genuine, positive, and engaged. In session, I will build rapport with you, make sure I’m hearing what you’re communicating, and establish a therapeutic alliance. I’ll listen to your thoughts and feelings and reflect back what I notice to highlight opportunities for growth and facilitate behavioral change. During our first session, I'll ask about your symptoms and what brought you to therapy. We may cover your history, education, relationships, career, and current living situation, and agree on your goals and objectives. If you want to make positive changes and think we might be a good fit, please reach out! I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. I am also committed to making therapy affordable! Kelly Solis is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the social service and behavioral health field. Throughout her career, Kelly has worked with various populations in a number of different settings. Currently, Kelly provides individual psychotherapy to adults who are struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and panic, grief, or stress. Many of Kelly's clients experience feelings of sadness and low mood, sleep difficulties, low energy, trouble with concentration; as well as, feelings of anxiousness and worry, difficulty relaxing, and feelings of restlessness. She also provides support to those experiencing difficulty coping with life transitions, loss, relationship issues/conflict, work stress, and trauma. Kelly’s approach to therapy is client centered and strengths based. Kelly helps clients identify how certain patterns of behavior or unresolved traumas can impact their functioning in the present. Using CBT concepts, she educates clients on how one's thoughts can influence their feelings and behaviors. For those experiencing stress, Kelly works with her client to identify what is contributing to their distress and explore ways to improve coping, so that those stressors become more manageable. Kelly takes pride in meeting clients where they are and fosters a space where clients feel heard, safe, and where judgement does not exist. During the intake, Kelly will utilize that visit to gather information to understand the client's history and set goals together. She may assign homework which can help clients become more insightful as they move through the therapeutic process. Clients often leave sessions feeling relieved, understood, and overtime notice a reduction in symptoms. Whether it's your first time pursuing therapy or you're familiar with the process, it's important to choose someone who is a good fit and that meets your needs. Everyone deserves to have a space where they can be their authentic selves, express their feelings, receive unbiased feedback, and where they feel supported. I understand personally how challenging it can be dealing with stress, depression, anxiety and other life issues, which helps me relate with clients on a deeper level. There's a life saying that I love which is "Grow through what you go through." If you are in need of support or looking to foster change and growth, please feel free to contact me for a free phone consultation.
