I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges . I especially enjoy supporting young adults through transitions such as college, early career, identity development, and finding their path. I also have a special interest in working with women navigating infertility, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the emotional complexities of parenthood. Through creating a warm and supportive space, I hope to help you better understand your experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful change. I offer an individualized, integrative approach grounded in psychodynamic therapy while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies. I work collaboratively with clients to explore underlying patterns, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel understood and supported. If you are feeling overwhelmed or are navigating a difficult life transition, I would be honored to support you as you gain greater clarity, self-awareness, and a deeper understanding of yourself.

We specialize in providing bilingual/bi-cultural psychotherapy to Asian international students, especially Chinese students. All our therapists are familiar with the nuances in Asian cultures and can provide bilingual therapy. Therapy can be a little nerve-wrecking for many college students who are first-time therapy seekers. In our work, you will be warmly supported to ease your way into emotional awareness, see your true self more clearly, feel safer, and move towards actual changes you want.

Furthermore, I have extensive experience with eating disorders and substance abuse amongst young adults. In my practice, I utilize an eclectic style that is tailored to your individual needs. There are times when we ask ourselves questions we feel we have no answers to: "Why am I not happy?", "How do I improve my life?" and "Will I ever find a solution to this problem that is consistent and stressful?". Have hope! The answers are there inside of you, waiting to be discovered. I strive to support my clients without judgement, challenging those who are ready to explore themes of personal responsibility, meaning, and resolution. Through genuine client/therapist interactions, the emotional impact of trauma, loss, depression, and/or anxiety can be relieved, and answers found. I have a wide range of experience in helping those who may be suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions. Working with older adolescents to older adults, I find that combining a person-centered therapy model with CBT, Gestalt, and Mindfulness interventions can be especially helpful. It is my belief that therapy should be an experience of thoughtfulness, reflection and discovery. In-the-moment therapeutic experiments, music therapy, and artistic mindfulness are all tools that can be used to stir the creative process towards finding the answers one is looking for, and the journey thereafter.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in anxiety, life transitions, and relationship concerns for adolescents and adults. Over nearly four years of clinical work, I've had the privilege of sitting with teens and adults through some of life's more difficult stretches: the anxiety that won't quiet down, the relationship stress that follows you everywhere, the emotional weight that builds when you can't quite figure out why you keep ending up in the same place. If you're someone who thinks deeply about yourself and your life but still finds it hard to break certain patterns, you're not alone. Many of the people I work with are self-aware and motivated; they just need a space where insight can turn into real, lasting change. I offer the evidence-based treatment that helps you explore the deeper patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others. Above all, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, more connected, and more confident as you move through the world. I look forward to being a genuine partner in that process. Therapy works best when it feels honest, collaborative, and equal parts reflective and actionable. When we work together, you can expect a space that is both supportive and candid, somewhere we can get curious about what's bringing you in while also building practical tools to help you move forward. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), schema therapy, and relationally informed approaches, weaving them together in a way that fits who you are rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method. My style is warm, direct, and a little reflective. I'll ask questions that help you see yourself more clearly, and also help you figure out what to actually do with what you discover. Whether you're looking to better understand your patterns, strengthen how you cope with stress, or simply feel more like yourself again, I'll tailor the work to where you are and where you want to go. My path to this work has been shaped in equal parts by where I come from personally and where I've been professionally. Early in my career, I worked at a pediatric neuropsychology clinic serving primarily Latinx families in Washington Heights, where I saw up close how systemic barriers can complicate access to care and add invisible weight to the challenges people are already carrying. That experience left a real mark on me, and strengthened my commitment to showing up in a way that is culturally sensitive, genuinely client-centered, and attuned to the broader context of your life. Growing up in the South Bronx gave me something no classroom could: a deep respect for the resilience of underserved communities and an honest understanding of the very real obstacles many individuals and families face. Both experiences continue to inform how I practice and how I show up for you in the therapy room. Outside of session, I'm usually deep in a telenovela, working through my Nintendo Switch 2 games, sweating through a [solidcore] class, or adding more books to an endless to-be-read reading list. I believe a full life outside the therapy room makes for a better therapist inside it.
Growing up with learning disabilities, I had an experience that is all too familiar for the neurodivergent community. Often feeling misunderstood and out of place, I was faced with indifference, ignorance, neglect, gaslighting, shame, and the assumption that I could navigate a world that was not built for me without the support I so badly needed. Lonely, adrift, and struggling to find a sense of belonging, I was cast aside and left to fend for myself. After a series of negative experiences with mental health resources and support, my personal journey led me to a couples therapist in 2014. There, I embarked on a journey of transformation, and I was able to see the profound impact that the right therapy relationship could have on a person. It was then that I was introduced to Gestalt psychotherapy, which I immediately connected with. From there, I set forth on a new journey to study Gestalt psychotherapy at the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy, a post-graduate training program. Pursuing this path, I have continued to experience connectedness, belonging, compassion, the wonder of curiosity, and love itself. Arriving at this place of acceptance and understanding changed everything for me. Understanding that this positive experience is not the norm for members of the neurodivergent community, I decided to dedicate myself to providing that same transformation for others. With this mission, I founded Welcome Home Healing in 2023. Since then, I have had the pleasure of helping many clients embrace their own innate worth, gifts, individuality, and the freedom to shed their masks of shame and self doubt.

As a licensed mental health counselor, I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and attachment issues for people of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on women and LGBTQ+ individuals. I’m here to help you navigate identity, life transitions, grief, relationship challenges, uncertainty, and self-doubt while reconnecting with your strengths and creating meaningful change. My hope is to be a steady, affirming presence who will support and challenge you with compassion as you work toward your goals, because I believe meaningful change begins in the safety of a trusting therapeutic relationship. Together, we can deepen your understanding of yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move through life with greater confidence and ease. Psychodynamic work and Mindfulness ground my approach, which is relational, curious, and culturally attuned. I'm passionate about exploring how our experiences shape who we are, and I blend these approaches with evidence-based interventions to support you in creating lasting, meaningful change through insight, connection, self-compassion, and action. In our sessions, you'll find an affirming and compassionate space where all parts of you are welcome. My style is warm, collaborative, and gently challenging, and I tailor our work to your unique experiences, values, and goals. My path to becoming a therapist began long before graduate school. As a child, I often found myself at the center of playground drama, wondering, "How did I get here?" and "Why is everyone acting the way they are?" That early curiosity about people, relationships, and the stories behind our behaviors stayed with me throughout my life, growing into a deep commitment to providing empathetic, affirming, and culturally responsive care. Now, I value bringing warmth, curiosity, and authenticity to each session, creating a space where patients can better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that shape their lives. I have loads of hobbies! I love everything from collaging and oil painting to singing at karaoke and running.

I work with clients who struggle with anxiety or depression and feel these issues have interfered with their potential. Together, we will identify obstacles and review goals to create a treatment plan that respects your strengths. To measure your overall progress, I encourage incorporating your feedback to reflect on what works well and what can be improved. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a Psychodynamic approach to establish objectives, explore connections between thoughts and feelings, and develop insight into underlying issues. Over the course of therapy, I support you as you learn to challenge and change thinking patterns while recognizing how resurfacing relational experiences impact your well-being.
