She is a graduate of San Jacinto College, and earned her BSN through Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her many years of experience working as a registered nurse in various medical and mental health facilities and organizations within the greater Houston area fueled her passion for care of patients struggling to achieve mental wellness. This passion led Ms. Macshadiya to earn her master’s degree at Midwestern State University, enabling her to become a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner and provide a higher level of care to her patients. Ms. Macshadiya utilizes the biopsychosocial model when approaching patient care, believes in treating patients with unconditional positive regard, and encourages them to be an active participant in their journey to wellness.
