My approach to therapy is collaborative and conversational, in an atmosphere of trust and warmth. Each session is tailored to your individual needs and goals. There is no cookie cutter or one size fits all approach. I pull from a variety of evidence-based practices to provide you with the coping skills to meet your needs and goals. Whether it's anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, stress or any other concern, we will reach that next phase of your life. Life can be challenging and there are times when we need assistance in getting through these challenges. We'll figure out solutions, coping skills, new approaches and or enhance skills that you already have to manage and overcome the challenges. It takes a strong person to be vulnerable to reach out to a therapist, which can be an overwhelming task. I do not take this lightly. I'd love to hear from you and assist you in the next steps.

Life can feel overwhelming—whether you're a parent, new mom, educator, or simply going through a tough season. You might be facing anxiety, postpartum struggles, burnout, infertility, or challenges with your child’s school experience, like IEPs or behavioral concerns. I work with teens, adults, and families navigating stress, parenting, transitions, or the complexities of adoption. Therapy can be a space to reflect, heal, and reconnect with yourself. You don’t have to have it all figured out—just be willing to start. You’ll find a safe, supportive space to feel validated and build skills like emotional regulation, coping, and communication. I use a compassionate, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, drawing on CBT and my 27 years of experience supporting teens and families. I will meet with you right where you are at and help you grow and heal from there. I really care about people and the stories they carry. Life can be messy, and therapy gives you space to talk it through, feel heard, and sort things out. We'll work together in a way that feels supportive and real—so you can better understand yourself, feel more like you, and start to move forward.

I have been practicing in the social work field for over 15 years. I feel it is a privilege to be able to walk alongside those who are facing struggles of any type. The college years can be filled with new adventures, but they can also include many hardships as you grow into an independent adult. I would be honored to walk with you on this journey and help you to face whatever struggles you are facing during this time.

Best fit for individuals experiencing stress, PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, as well as support with parenting challenges and life transitions. Main treatment models I provide are CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) as well as CPT (Cognitive processing therapy) which is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that has been effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD. Together, we can explore solutions and positive growth. A brief therapy model is NOT compatible treatment for crisis, psychiatric emergencies, legal issues, active addictions, severe and persistent mental illness including suicidal or self-injurious behavior, nor those with histories of recent hospitalizations.

I believe that a core piece of psychotherapy is coming to truly see yourself, and allowing others (the therapist, at first) to see you as well. I practice psychodynamic therapy, which means that I am curious about your emotions, your past experiences, the intricacies of your mind and unconscious, and your imagination. Some people need to be listened to in therapy, others need to be told certain things, and often people need a little of both. I try to discern what is needed by each patient as best I can.

Feel like you’re either running at 100 mph or totally crashed on the couch? You’re not lazy — you’re burned out. College can feel like a nonstop sprint: classes, exams, internships, social life, and the pressure to have it all together. Maybe you procrastinate on assignments, overthink every decision, or call yourself “lazy” when you’re actually running on empty. My clients often feel like they “should” be doing more, even when they’re already stretched thin. Together, we’ll unpack that pressure, figure out where the self-doubt comes from, and help you feel more confident without sacrificing your sanity or who you really are. In our sessions, you don’t have to show up with it all together — it’s okay to feel messy, tired, or unsure. You can bring yourself as you are. We'll figure it out.
