I am an LCSW with a private practice offering outpatient psychotherapy in Pa. Furnace, PA. I primarily offer teletherapy sessions but occasionally meet with clients face to face, mostly in outdoor settings. I have been practicing since 2011 and accept students, community members, and others within the state of PA. I specialize in individual therapy, though I also have experience with couples. I usually use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness framework, though many other therapeutic approaches are used as well depending on the needs of the client. As a social worker, I also offer a fair amount of casework for clients who need access to academic, employment, housing, medical, legal, and other kinds of community resources. Over the years I have found that I develop an excellent working relationship with a wide variety of clients, but particularly so with clients presenting with concerns centered on their existential and spiritual concerns as well as on their relationship with the natural world.

I recently completed a two year training program, The Three Doors, a Tibetan based meditation program from which I incorporate somatic based and meditation techniques. I provide in-person and telehealth mental health therapy and consultation services to meet the demands of the changing landscape we live in. I also offer workshops, presentations on stress, adjustment to college, mindfulness coping tools among other topics and offer short-term consultation sessions, including online and in-person groups. Existential concerns from anxiety, work-life balance, stress to relational challenges, isolation, intersecting identities conflict and low mood are common experiences of human nature; simultaneously, when we are grappling with the uncertainty of the socio-political climate, and adjustment to life transitions, and collective biases, it is challenging to regulate anxious and depressed mood, social isolation, stress and cultural adjustment related challenges. It affects who we are, our thought patterns, feelings, and the way we understand and respond to the environment. We are not alone, and you do not have to do this alone. I offer relational therapy through a collaborative therapeutic relationship with a striving for you to feel seen and heard in a safe, genuine therapeutic milieu. My authenticity as your therapist includes integrating culturally sensitive therapy such as mindfulness based cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and client centered therapy in providing immediate feedback, using mindfulness based strategies and concrete, specific tools based on your strengths, as your coping repertoire. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I'm glad you're here. My hope is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, or a major life transition, my goal is to meet you with warmth, authenticity, and compassion. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop practical coping skills using CBT and solution-focused strategies, and work toward helping you feel more confident, resilient, and like yourself again.
Let’s face it—finding a therapist can feel a little awkward. You’re trying to choose someone you’ve never met and wondering if you’ll actually feel comfortable opening up to them. I get that. What matters most to me is that you feel like you can show up as yourself, without worrying about being judged or saying the “wrong” thing. I’ve worked with all kinds of people, and I can promise you, you don’t need to have everything together before coming to therapy. You can bring the messy stuff, the uncomfortable stuff, and the things you’re embarrassed to say out loud. I also know from my own experience with chronic health issues that sometimes life takes turns we never expected. It can be exhausting, scary, frustrating, and lonely. That experience, along with my work as a therapist, has shaped the way I connect with people going through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, health challenges, and major life transitions. Therapy with me isn’t about having all the answers or saying all the right things. We’ll start wherever you are, figure things out together, and probably even laugh sometimes along the way. My hope is that you’ll feel heard, understood, encouraged, and a little less alone in whatever you’re facing. I'm here for you.

I have always enjoyed connecting with people and learning about their experiences. I knew I wanted to go into the field when I was a senior in high school. From that point on, my education and training have centered on being the best therapist I can be. I have worked in hospitals, schools, and mental health agencies to gain a variety of experiences and expertise. From working in different settings, I knew I had a natural inclination to help my clients feel at ease and make therapy not only helpful but enjoyable.Since I have experienced therapy, I know what it is like to be on the other side. I appreciate a nonjudgmental approach with kindness and humor sprinkled in at the appropriate times. I believe therapy does not have to be serious all the time. Growth comes from support, understanding, and compassion.
